According to information from the Ministry of Education and Training, the 2 gold medals belong to:
- Nguyen Ngo Duc (Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Nghe An),
- Tran Trung Kien (Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, Hanoi).
2 silver medals went to:
- Dinh Trong An (High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi),
- Tran Hoang Nam (Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, Hanoi).
In 2024, Vietnam participated in the Mendeleev International Chemistry Olympiad for the first time with 10 members, achieving 1 gold medal, 5 silver medals and 4 bronze medals.

Vietnam team attends Mendeleev International Chemistry Olympiad 2025.
Named after Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev, the Mendeleev International Chemistry Olympiad is one of the oldest and most prestigious science Olympiads in the world, held under the auspices of UNESCO.
The competition is organized by the Faculty of Chemistry, Moscow State University and the Melnichenko Foundation in late April or early May every year with the participation of former Soviet countries and some other countries around the world.
This year, the exam took place in Brazil with the participation of 192 candidates from 40 countries and territories.
At the closing ceremony, the organizing committee awarded the Lunin Prize to the three best contestants: Yaoxi Zhao (China), Vladimir Elistratov (Russia), Xuantong Wan (China). The contestant with the highest theoretical score was Yaoxi Zhao (China); the contestant with the highest practical score was Mengdigali Kaldybay (Kazakhstan).
The Vietnamese team at IMChO 2025 was assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training to the host unit, the University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, to select and establish a delegation.
