The festival was organized by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the China-ASEAN Association in collaboration with the Hubei Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, with the participation of more than 100 delegates, including more than 70 delegates representing youth from 10 ASEAN countries.
With the theme "Building a beautiful home together", the Opening Ceremony of the Festival was solemnly held on July 4 in Yichang City, Hubei Province.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Ms. Zhang Xiaoping, Deputy Head of the East Asia Department, Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, said that China and ASEAN countries are connected by mountains and rivers and have had a long-standing friendly and close relationship.
She expressed her hope that delegates would consider the Festival a good opportunity to experience China, to exchange, make friends, gain a deeper understanding of Chinese youth, build good friendships, learn from each other and become friendship ambassadors for the youth of ASEAN countries and China.
The highlight of this year’s Festival is the ASEAN-China Youth Forum. At the Forum, student delegates from various countries spoke about the role and importance of the Festival in creating connections and promoting exchanges between youth from ASEAN and China to join hands in building a beautiful home.
Representing the Vietnamese delegation, Ms. Nghiem Thu Huyen, a student at the University of Economics , National University, spoke emphasizing the importance of the Festival in promoting connection, sharing experiences, learning from each other and enhancing understanding and cooperation between ASEAN and Chinese youth.
With their roles and missions, the outstanding young people attending the forum are responsible for bringing their knowledge, experience, and connections back to serve the country and strive to become ambassadors of friendship, cultural exchange, and international cooperation. Contribute to strengthening ASEAN-China relations by actively participating in dialogue, promoting cultural exchange, and cooperation in various fields.
Based on common interests and accepting differences, young leaders can work together to solve common challenges, promote peace and sustainable development.

Within the framework of the program, delegates had the opportunity to experience many other meaningful and interesting activities such as visiting the Hubei Changshengchuan Tea Company, the Yidu Biomedical Industrial Park, the Qingjiang Sturgeon Valley (Yidu), visiting the Three Gorges Dam - the world's largest hydroelectric dam (Wuhan city), visiting Wuhan University, the Hubei Provincial Museum, the Wanlin Art Museum, the exhibition of achievements of 30 years since China joined the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands; experiencing some types of Chinese folk art such as calligraphy, paper cutting, traditional musical instrument concerts, lion dance, lotus boat and visiting famous scenic spots such as the Yellow Crane Tower, the East Lake Green Road, the Yangtze River...
The Closing Ceremony and Gala celebrating the success of the Festival took place in a friendly atmosphere in Wuhan city, Hubei province.
Speaking here, Mr. Yuan Mindao, Vice President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, affirmed that youth are the future of each country, and also the future of China-ASEAN friendship relations. He hopes that young people will gain strength from the culture and development process of ASEAN countries and China, actively learn from each other and together protect the "Asian homeland".
At the Gala to celebrate the success of the Festival, the Vietnamese delegation was one of five delegations from ASEAN countries, along with Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand, who brought unique performances typical of each country, contributing to creating a colorful Gala.

The Vietnamese singing and dancing performance “Cay da quan doc” with a style combining traditional Bac Ninh folk songs and modern dance left a deep impression on guests and delegates attending the Festival.
