With the theme "Innovate and develop together for all - Join hands to build the Belt and Road Science, Technology and Innovation Community", this year's conference attracted the participation of delegates from 91 countries and 19 international organizations.
Within the framework of the Conference, 38 important events took place, including ministerial-level meetings, symposiums, roundtables on artificial intelligence, space information, smart transportation, digital medicine, along with exhibitions introducing outstanding results from major S&T programs under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Chaired by Chinese Minister of Science and Technology Yin Hejun, delegates shared their visions and discussed exploiting potentials and promoting new cooperation models towards forming a sustainable Belt and Road Science, Technology and Innovation Community.
At the Conference, Deputy Minister Hoang Minh delivered an important speech, affirming that Vietnam always considers science, technology and innovation as a key driving force for rapid and sustainable growth, enhancing national competitiveness and adaptability in the context of global digital transformation.
The Deputy Minister emphasized the spirit of cooperation "innovating together - developing together", and expressed his desire to promote joint research activities, strengthen connectivity of the innovation startup ecosystem, connect technology exchanges, expand markets for small and medium enterprises, and promote training and exchange of experts and young scientists among member countries.
"Vietnam will continue to play an active role, accompanying countries in the journey of cooperation in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation (S&T), for the future of the whole region," Deputy Minister Hoang Minh affirmed.

On the sidelines of the Conference, Deputy Minister Hoang Minh had a bilateral meeting with Deputy Minister of Science and Technology of China Lin Tan. The two sides highly appreciated the results of cooperation in science and technology in recent times. Deputy Minister Lin Tan suggested that the two sides continue to promote the implementation of specific cooperation activities in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation on the basis of implementing the signed Government Agreement on science and technology cooperation; participate in implementing major international science and technology programs; further promote the cooperation mechanism of the Joint Committee for Science and Technology Cooperation and effectively implement the Vietnam - China Science and Technology Human Resource Exchange Program.
In addition to the above cooperation focuses, Deputy Minister Hoang Minh proposed to strengthen joint research activities, technology transfer, deployment of artificial intelligence applications; sharing experiences in operating technology exchanges and developing technology incubators, etc.

Participation in the second Belt and Road Science and Technology Conference clearly demonstrated Vietnam's commitment to proactively integrating deeply into the international community in science and technology, enhancing multilateral and bilateral cooperation in the region, contributing to building a sustainable science, technology and innovation community, and jointly responding to global challenges in the digital age.
