In the 2023 Global Crypto Adoption Index report conducted by American blockchain market analysis firm Chainalysis, Vietnam ranked 3rd.

Chainalysis said the global cryptocurrency adoption index is made up of five different criteria. The report ranks a total of 154 countries and territories, scoring them on a scale of 0 (lowest) to 1 (highest).
Experts have assessed that Vietnam possesses many advantages in the global blockchain race with a young population, a synchronous and modern Internet infrastructure. Vietnamese people not only produce quality products but also lead many world trends in the fields of GameFi and DeFi.
According to Mr. Le Thanh, a blockchain expert, this is one of the rare industries that Southeast Asia has developed close to the rest of the world. It has the advantage of a large, young population and high Internet coverage.
Meanwhile, Mr. David Princay, Director of Binance France, once noted that blockchain should be viewed from a technological perspective to clearly see the real needs of the economy , to see where it can be applied, not just GameFi or cryptocurrencies.
"Vietnam's Internet has exploded strongly in the Web2 environment. However, this platform is simply an era of information sharing. Web3 will open a new chapter of the Internet sharing values. Vietnam needs to take advantage of these advantages to take the lead in the Web3 era as well as the metaverse," Mr. Princay emphasized.
