Vietcombank stops selling gold via website, officially sells gold via app

Since August 27, Vietcombank has stopped providing SJC gold bar purchase appointment booking services on its website, and instead has implemented gold sales via its banking application.

Three other state-owned commercial banks, BIDV , VietinBank and Agribank, continue to deploy online registration to buy SJC gold bars via the bank's website, transact and receive gold at the counter. According to Vietcombank's announcement, starting from 10:00 a.m. this morning (August 27), customers of this bank can buy gold via Vietcombank digital banking application. Customers only need to log in to the Vietcombank application, select the maximum quantity, location and time of delivery of gold bars at the counter in accordance with current regulations. Then, customers make payment to buy gold directly on the VCB Digibank application and receive an electronic invoice via the email address that the customer has registered to use VCB Digibank. After receiving the appointment confirmation with specific information about the time and location of gold bar delivery via OTT message/email registered to use VCB Digibank, customers go to the location to receive gold according to the appointment schedule. When receiving gold, customers must present their identification documents and the gold purchase transaction code (ref number) sent by Vietcombank via OTT message/email registered to use VCB Digibank. The time to schedule and pay for gold purchases on the VCB Digibank application is from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays. When paying for gold purchases, do not use the overdraft limit to pay.
