In the top 25 airlines, Vietnam Airlines ranked 11th, approaching the top 10 list including Qatar Airways, Korean Air, Cathay Pacific Airways, Air New Zealand, Emirates, Air France/KLM, All Nippon Airways, Etihad Airways, Qantas, Virgin Australia/Atlantic.

AirlineRatings' key ranking criteria include: safety, product and service, aircraft age, profitability, passenger reviews from multiple sources, innovation and future aircraft orders.

Vietnam Airlines has surpassed many competitors to be recognized in the top 25, thanks in large part to its efforts to improve the quality of its services in recent times. Currently, Vietnam Airlines is the first and only airline in Vietnam to achieve the title of “5-star international airline” according to APEX.

The national airline affirms its outstanding service quality through advantages in its fleet; punctuality index; ground and air services; Vietnamese cultural identity and human factors.

Vietnam Airlines owns a modern fleet of aircraft including wide-body Boeing 787-10, Boeing 787-9, Airbus A350, providing passengers with a spacious and comfortable flight experience.

For in-flight services, passengers enjoy comfort with a diverse entertainment menu, delicious dishes and a style imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity. At the same time, Vietnam Airlines continuously improves the quality of ground services, such as applying digital technology to procedures or diversifying services for special customers. Vietnam Airlines flights are proud to be in the top 5 most punctual in the Asia- Pacific region according to statistics from international aviation data analysis company Cirium.

Notably, the staff of the “Golden Lotus” airline is highly appreciated by global passengers for their professionalism, enthusiasm, friendliness and initiative. The satisfaction index of domestic and foreign passengers for Vietnam Airlines in 2023 exceeded the target. The total number of letters of praise last year reached more than 9,100 letters, an increase of 30% compared to the same period.

AirlineRatings, based in Australia, is an internationally respected organisation that assesses the safety and service quality of more than 435 airlines worldwide. Since the awards were launched in 2014, AirlineRatings.com’s scoring and categories have been evolving “to reflect the changing dynamics of the industry and the expectations of customers”.

Previously, AirlineRatings honored Vietnam Airlines as one of the “World's Best Airlines for Safety and Service Quality 2023” and “Best Value Premium Economy Class 2024” based on factors such as safety, fleet, comfort and economic value./.
