VinFast registers all-new large electric SUV in Indonesia

The mysterious large electric SUV has just been registered by VinFast in Indonesia, most likely this is a special version of the VF9 that was tested in Vietnam.

According to Indonesia's Viva newspaper, VinFast filed an industrial design application with number A00202502972 on June 4, 2025, and was publicly announced by the Indonesian Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) on June 30, 2025.

Images extracted from the registration documents show different angles of the SUV, which looks similar to the VF9. The documents also provide information about the people involved in designing the vehicle.

Currently, VF is the largest and most premium SUV in the VinFast electric vehicle lineup. This model was first introduced in 2022 and is one of the key products in the company's global strategy, having been exported to the US, Canada and some European markets.

This is rumored to be a special version of the top-of-the-line VF9, attracting the attention of many customers.

In Vietnam, VinFast VF9 is currently sold in two versions, Eco and Plus, priced at 1,499 and 1,699 million VND, respectively. The company is currently offering a 4% price reduction for all electric cars, including VF 9, along with a free charging policy until June 30, 2027.
