Honoring outstanding disabled youth, supporting disabled people to start businesses

Accordingly, it is expected that 30 outstanding delegates will be honored, who are individuals under 35 years old (in special cases, the selection council will consider flexibly). Each honored delegate will receive a Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, the program's logo, a savings book worth 10 million VND and many other meaningful prizes.

Nominations will be accepted from April 24 to July 1. The official award ceremony will be held on August 19-20 in Hanoi .

The companion program “Young people with disabilities start a business in the digital age” takes place from April to December. The program targets young people with disabilities who have a start-up project, want to receive support in capital, technology, management skills or need to expand their existing production and business model. The program also has a separate space for young people with disabilities who have skills in selling and exchanging goods via digital platforms.

Depending on the nature and scale of each project, the organizers will choose to support in the appropriate form, from cash, production tools, to technical advice, communication, and output connections for the product.

In addition, free training courses on sales skills and digital business will be organized to improve the capacity of disabled youth, helping them to be more confident in integrating into the community.

Within the framework of the program "Shining Vietnamese Willpower", there will be a companion program "Colors of Willpower" to introduce the examples that have been honored in the program "Shining Vietnamese Willpower" through inspirational videos , podcasts on social networking platforms to spread positive values and reach the community to share about the lives and journeys of overcoming the fate of typical disabled youth.

The Organizing Committee also launched the contest "Searching for Talents of Disabled Youth" in the fields of art, music , and active interaction with the community to create a diverse playground, confidently express oneself, and promote the message of ability, determination to overcome challenges, and the important presence of disabled youth in the community.

“Shining Vietnamese Willpower” is a meaningful activity organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union in collaboration with the Vietnam Disabled Youth Association and TCP Vietnam Limited Liability Company. The program aims to spread positive life values, inspire willpower and determination to rise up in life.

There have been 5 central-level programs and dozens of provincial-level programs organized, honoring 237 typical faces - vivid, true stories that have contributed to lighting up the ideal of a beautiful life for Vietnamese youth.

According to Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Kim Quy, the program aims to seek and honor exemplary disabled youth who are resilient, overcome adversity and actively contribute to the development of the community; contribute to fostering a good life ideal for young people, promoting the rise of Vietnamese youth.

The program also hopes to create a ripple effect and interest, calling on the social community to continue supporting and accompanying Vietnamese youth with disabilities; finding suitable and sustainable models to support youth with disabilities to integrate into the community equally, confidently and effectively.

“Through the program, the Organizing Committee hopes to strongly spread good living values, arouse love, a sense of social responsibility and call on the community to join hands to act for a Vietnam where no one is left behind,” said Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Kim Quy./.
