(VLO) At the opening ceremony of the 1st Red Brick and Ceramic Festival - Green Economy of Vinh Long province in 2024, at the brick and ceramic production village of Thay Cai canal (Mang Thit district), the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Dang Van Chinh announced the Master Plan for the construction of the brick and ceramic kiln area of Mang Thit district, Vinh Long province until 2045.

The project aims to realize the policy of building an area to preserve and develop the heritage of Mang Thit brick and pottery village, which has a traditional history of over 100 years. This is the basis for turning Mang Thit red brick and pottery village into a contemporary cultural heritage in the future.

At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced and awarded the competition for planning ideas and architectural designs for the Mekong Delta Agricultural Museum, with 2 second prizes (no first prize) and 1 third prize.
At this important event, Vinh Long province also honored and expressed gratitude to generations of artisans who have contributed to building and developing the craft village and the red brick and ceramic products that have gone through many ups and downs and still proudly exist today.
