According to the Provincial Statistics Office, the permanent agency of the Provincial Steering Committee for the general census, to date, the province has established 144 steering committees at all levels, including: 1 at the provincial level; 7 at the district, town, and city levels; and 136 at the commune, ward, and township levels.
By June 5th, the survey of household registration forms had been completed in 1,523 areas; the total number of households surveyed included 232,451, of which 163,620 were engaged in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries.
In urban areas, 158 locations with 44,171 households were surveyed; 17,320 households were engaged in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. In rural areas, 1,365 locations with 188,280 households were surveyed; 146,300 households were engaged in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries.
According to the criteria for identifying farm economies in Circular No. 02/2020/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development , the entire province has 56 communes surveyed with 242 farms, including: Dong Hoi City 33 farms, Tuyen Hoa 7 farms, Quang Trach 6 farms, Bo Trach 70 farms, Quang Ninh 29 farms, Le Thuy 93 farms and Ba Don Town 4 farms.
Regarding future work, from July 2025 to January 2026, the Provincial Steering Committee will continue to direct and guide the consolidation of commune-level steering committees after mergers to lead, direct, and promote survey work; verify the results of the commune-level general survey; conduct rapid aggregation at the provincial level; report the rapid aggregation results to the Central Steering Committee; the Central Steering Committee will verify the province's general survey results and announce some of the province's rapid aggregation indicators...
At the conference, members of the Provincial Steering Committee focused on discussing and proposing solutions to overcome difficulties and obstacles arising from the fact that the census coincided with the end of activities of district-level Party committees and governments, and the establishment of new commune-level committees. This made directing the census very difficult if the commune-level steering committees were not promptly reorganized.
Therefore, the urgent task is for members of the Provincial Steering Committee assigned to oversee specific localities to coordinate with relevant departments and agencies; and for Party committees and local authorities at the commune level to actively monitor and supervise their assigned areas, and to be responsible for expediting the progress and quality of information collection in their respective areas.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee should strengthen monitoring and regularly gather information to develop timely response plans, paying particular attention to remote, mountainous, and border areas.
