- On the afternoon of December 12th, the Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to summarize and award prizes for the provincial-level science and technology research competition for junior and senior high school students in the 2025-2026 school year.
This year's competition features 170 student projects representing junior and senior high schools across the province.

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the projects participating in this year's competition were of relatively consistent quality; many topics closely followed real-life situations, effectively exploited local strengths, and initially applied science and technology effectively, especially in the fields of artificial intelligence, IoT, biotechnology, and digital transformation.
Many projects demonstrated serious research thinking, with concrete products and the potential for practical application and development. However, the judging panel also pointed out some limitations that need to be addressed, such as the small scale of the experiments, the lack of in-depth research data, and the inconsistent scientific presentation skills of some projects.

At the conclusion of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to outstanding projects, including: 7 First Prizes, 17 Second Prizes, 46 Third Prizes, 51 Fourth Prizes, and 45 Innovation Prizes presented by the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning and Vietel Lang Son. The Organizing Committee also selected 3 outstanding projects to participate in the National Science and Technology Research Competition.

The competition aims to encourage students to develop their creativity, scientific thinking, and apply their learned knowledge to solve practical problems; and at the same time, create a pool of quality projects to select and train for participation in the national science and technology research competition in the future.
