Mr. Dang Tran Phuc, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AZfin Vietnam Joint Stock Company, analyzed: The stock market is facing many favorable conditions due to positive information. First, the uncertainty about US tariffs has almost been eliminated.
In addition, there is a high possibility that Vietnamese stocks will be upgraded next September, which has caused foreign investors to have a very large net buying trend in the past 3 months, leading to a very strong increase in demand for stocks.
Information about credit growth in the first 6 months of the year at 9.9%, the highest in recent years, also had a positive impact on the stock market. "Many people expect cash flow to spread to risky assets (highly volatile assets such as real estate, stocks, etc.), thereby predicting that stocks can receive a large amount of money supply ," said Mr. Phuc.
Finally, the business results of enterprises are very positive thanks to the good GDP growth foundation. This affects the psychology of investors.
" The stock market is very positive and the possibility of re-establishing the 1,500-point peak of 2022 is very high. This could be a good opportunity for investors to sell stocks to take profits or disburse to buy stocks with great potential. However, investors need to be alert and have a scenario to proactively respond to all market fluctuations so that investment results are sustainable ," said Mr. Phuc.

Sharing the same view, Mr. Nguyen The Minh, Director of Research and Development of Individual Clients of Yuanta Securities Vietnam, also said that the scenario of the market continuing to rise is very high and the index could approach 1,500 points in the last months of the year due to rapid changes in the macro economy . In addition, the amount of money bought by foreign investors has recently been quite sudden. This is also a positive supporting factor for the market.
Which industry stocks should I invest in?
Commenting on which group of stocks to invest in in the coming time, Mr. Dinh Quang Hinh - Head of Macro and Market Strategy Department, VNDirec Securities Joint Stock Company - said that investors should focus on industry groups with growth prospects and positive profits. In addition, priority should be given to industry groups that are still cheaply priced.
From the above two factors, Mr. Hinh advises investors to choose the banking industry. This industry group has positive profit growth of about 15-20% this year, while the valuation is lower than the average of the past 3 years.
The second group of industries that investors can choose is the group of industries that benefit from policies and promote growth from the Government such as public investment, infrastructure and construction. These are forecasted to be the groups of industries that can grow dramatically this year and still have room for price increases in the coming period.
In addition, investors can choose a number of other industry groups. However, it depends on the valuation of each stock. For example, with the securities industry group, the story of upgrading will be a very strong driving force but it also depends on each stock. Currently, there are some stocks that are quite cheap but there are also stocks that have increased very strongly in price recently.
" Selecting this group of stocks should also be done cautiously and investors should consider groups of stocks that are priced at historical averages and have had relatively positive growth in recent times ," Mr. Hinh commented.
Mr. Nguyen The Minh said that if we look at stock groups according to market valuation compared to the 5-year average, many stock groups in the non-financial sector are higher.
“In the short and medium term, the valuation of financial stocks such as securities, banks, and real estate is still very low. Therefore, the shift of cash flow from investors will focus on this group, in which banks lead, followed by securities and then real estate. In addition, other growth groups such as infrastructure, public investment, construction, construction materials, etc. will also benefit because we promote public investment disbursement from now until the end of the year,” Mr. Minh commented.
According to Mr. Minh, stocks in the technology, retail, food, and industrial real estate industries also have the opportunity to grow strongly at the end of the year.
