"Seed capital" helps rural industrial establishments develop

The provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting accepted the project at Nguyen Van Chien's business household, village 18, Kim Phu commune ( Tuyen Quang city).

The snail production facility of Nguyen Van Chien business household was established in 2019. Previously, all stages from preliminary processing to finished products were done by hand by workers, with an average daily productivity of 3-4 quintals of final products, earning a profit of 30 to 50 million/month.

In early 2024, Nguyen Van Chien business household decided to invest in purchasing advanced and modern machinery and equipment for production with a total investment of more than 270 million VND, of which the local industrial promotion fund supported 100 million VND. To implement the project, the business household invested in 1 spice packaging machine, 1 inkjet printer and 1 stainless steel conveyor belt for production.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, the business owner, said that realizing the high market demand for snail products and with support from the industrial promotion project, the facility boldly invested in purchasing new machinery for production. Since putting the machinery into use, the quality of finished products has been improved, productivity has improved. The output is estimated at 200 tons of products/year, with estimated revenue of over 20 billion VND/year. The facility currently creates jobs for nearly 40 workers with an average income of 6-8 million VND/person/month, and in peak season, it can be up to 100 seasonal workers.

According to the Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting of Tuyen Quang province, the product of Lam tube snail of Nguyen Van Chien business household ensures food hygiene and safety, has announced product quality, has labels according to regulations and is recognized as a 3-star OCOP product of Tuyen Quang province. The financial support helps the facility invest in more advanced machinery and equipment in product production to bring high economic efficiency, save time, reduce product costs, improve labor productivity; increase competitiveness with similar products of units inside and outside the province. Thereby, contributing to the economic restructuring of the locality.

The difference that creates the Chien Thang Lam Tube Snail brand is the rich flavor of the dish and the product processing process that ensures quality. Currently, the product is available in many major markets such as: Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and the Central provinces.
