Dienbien.gov.vn - On the evening of May 3, at Dien Bien Provincial Stadium, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a special art program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); 71 years of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2025); 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) with the theme "Brocade Mountains and Rivers - A Strip of Glory". Attending and cheering on the program were comrades: Tran Quoc Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Pham Duc Toan - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vu A Bang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of relevant departments, branches and units, along with a large number of cadres, soldiers, people and tourists from inside and outside the province.

Dien Bien is proud to be a historical witness, marking one of the great milestones of the nation. 71 years ago, on May 7, 1954, Muong Thanh valley witnessed the Dien Bien Phu Campaign "famous in five continents, shaking the earth". That victory was not only the victory of a resistance war to defend the country but also the victory of the people, of truth and justice, of the most original aspirations from the people who love world peace. From Dien Bien Phu, the Party, President Ho Chi Minh and the entire army and people of our country were given more strength; built a solid foundation to continue the resistance war against the US to save the country, determined to unify the country, establish independence, sovereignty and lasting peace on the glorious land of Vietnam. The 1975 Spring Offensive and Uprising, culminating in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, which was completely victorious at noon on April 30, has gone down in national history as one of the most glorious and brilliant feats of arms, crystallizing the strength, intelligence and aspirations of Vietnam. Throughout the journey of the country regaining its shape, the people seeking freedom and happiness, there is the towering figure of President Ho Chi Minh. With his immense love for the country and people, he devoted his entire life to the ideal of “independence for the country, happiness for the people”. He has merged with the sacred spirit of the mountains and rivers, living forever in the hearts of every Vietnamese person; becoming a beautiful symbol of the communist ideal and the national liberation movement of the people of the world.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu A Bang shared: "Today's art program is an opportunity for us to review the glorious pages of history, to express our gratitude to the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed their blood and bones, dedicating their whole lives to the cause of national liberation and unification; to demonstrate our determination and aspiration to rise up and continue to contribute to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. The spirit of Dien Bien Phu, the Great Victory of Spring 1975 is still flowing strongly in the veins of every Vietnamese person today. We are determined to preserve the achievements of the revolution, unite as one, and strive to build our homeland Dien Bien, to build a strong Vietnam, on par with the world powers, as Uncle Ho always wished."

The special art program lasts 90 minutes and is broadcast live on Dien Bien Provincial Radio and Television; Radio and Television of several provinces and cities across the country. It includes the opening act “I love my Fatherland” and 2 chapters: Chapter I: “The immortal epic”; Chapter II: “Peaceful rendezvous”.

With immortal songs, going through the years: Country, Melody of the Fatherland, Fatherland of Four Seasons of Flowers, Ho Keo Phao, Legend of Mother, Mother Loves Child, Country Full of Joy, Fragrance of Dien Bien, Vast New Road... "The Immortal Epic" is vivid, containing many profound values about the indomitable spirit, patriotism and aspiration for peace of the Vietnamese people. Expressing the Aspiration for Freedom - The Noble Sacrifice - The Love for the Homeland. Dien Bien Phu - The Symbol of the Aspiration for Independence and Freedom of the Vietnamese People, the Meeting Point of Peace, Friendship and Cooperation of Humanity. After more than 70 years, we have "Put the Past Behind - Look to the Future" to today Dien Bien Phu from "The Meeting Point of War" has become "The Meeting Point of Peace, Friendship and Cooperation".

The program has the participation of famous artists: Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, Hoa Minzy, Anh Tu, Do Hoang Hiep, Xuan Hao, Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Thu Thuy, Thu Ha, Ngoc Ky, Minh Duc, Thu Huong, Viet Danh, singers and the male and female choir of Dien Bien Province's Ethnic Arts Troupe; professional and non-professional actors from central and local art units; students, university students, and military forces stationed in the province.

The art program combines elements: Singing - Dancing - Orchestra - Video Clip with creative elements, traditional combined with modern. Combining elements of stage production and semi-real scenes; performing on the ground and in the air to create impressive and unique scenes. The content and message of the program are: Joy of victory, Desire for peace, Great national unity, Aspiration to reach out with the country in the era of national growth.

The special art program was organized as a deep gratitude to the outstanding children who fell for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, respectfully offering President Ho Chi Minh the infinite love and trust; at the same time, it was an opportunity to arouse national pride, foster patriotism and spread the desire for peace and sustainable development in every Vietnamese person.
