On April 26, the District 10 Area Team, Ho Chi Minh City Police, in coordination with Ward 12 Police, examined the scene to investigate the cause of death of a young man born in 2002 (from Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan ) in the lobby of Van Hanh Mall shopping center, Su Van Hanh Street, Ward 12, District 10.

At around 10:30 a.m. the same day, shoppers at the mall heard a loud noise and ran out to check. At the fashion booth, people discovered a young man wearing long pants and a shirt lying motionless in the clothing display area.
People called an ambulance to take the young man to the hospital for emergency treatment. However, after a while of convulsions, the victim died.
The scene was cordoned off by the police for investigation. According to the mall's cameras and footage from local residents, the victim jumped from the 7th floor of the mall to the lobby area.
At the scene, many fashionable clothes were scattered around the victim. On the victim's person was a piece of paper with a relative's phone number and an explanation that the reason for the above action was due to a serious illness.
This is the third jump at the shopping center. On the evening of April 9, the center's security discovered a young man born in 1993, from Nha Trang, jumping from the 7th floor, so they ran to stop him but it was too late. Previously, on March 17, a teenager born in 2010 also jumped from the 7th floor to the lobby area and died. The victim left behind two pieces of paper with personal information and a piece of paper with a letter expressing his frustration with life.
