After 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the 11th Congress of Ben Tre, Tra Vinh and Vinh Long provinces, the 2020-2025 term has achieved many important and outstanding results, basically completing the main targets set.

Economic growth has been maintained fairly well; provincial planning has been completed, opening up new development space and momentum; transport infrastructure and breakthroughs have achieved clear results. In particular, the work of Party building and rectification has been implemented synchronously and comprehensively; the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations and Party members have been enhanced; creating solidarity and unity within the Party and consensus in society so that the "new Vinh Long" can confidently enter the new era.

The Party's correct guidelines and policies are the compass to help the province develop quickly and sustainably.

Spreading action thinking

The 2020-2025 term is a term with many historical marks, the leadership role of the Provincial Party Committee is clearly demonstrated, creating a strong shift, spreading the mindset of decisive and synchronous action throughout the Party Committee, together with the whole country entering a new era.

The work of building the Party politically continues to be focused on and strengthened. The political mettle, qualifications, leadership capacity and fighting spirit of the contingent of cadres and Party members are constantly improved, increasingly demonstrating mettle and responsibility in the face of difficulties and challenges.

Ideological work continues to be innovated and deepened, contributing significantly to consolidating unity within the Party, consensus within the political system and the whole society.

The work of Party building on ethics is focused on. The implementation of exemplary behavior has gradually become routine, becoming a widespread action throughout the Party. The concretization of resolutions, directives, regulations and conclusions of the Central Committee has been carried out promptly, synchronously, comprehensively, and in accordance with the practical conditions of the province.

The work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and combating erroneous and hostile viewpoints has been carried out synchronously and effectively. The work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity has been led and directed resolutely and synchronously, demonstrating high political determination, contributing to maintaining discipline and order within the Party and the political system, and consolidating people's trust.

Typically, in carrying out political tasks, the propaganda content to protect the Party's ideological foundation has always been seriously directed and implemented by the Party Committee of Vinh Long Newspaper, Radio and Television with timely and accurate information.

With rich content, specific evidence, data, and sharp arguments, the programs, news, and articles on protecting the Party's ideological foundation on radio, television, print, and electronic newspapers of the unit have created a good effect in information and propaganda work; have been well received and spread by cadres, party members, and people; and have actively contributed to the fight against the wrong viewpoints and arguments of hostile forces, maintained political stability, strengthened people's trust, and created consensus in implementing socio-economic development goals.

In addition, the leadership method of the Party Committee towards the government, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations continues to be innovated. Innovating working style and manner, close to the grassroots, close to the people; directing the implementation of many tasks and solutions to overcome difficulties. Some localities have initially effectively applied information technology, deploying the software "Electronic Party Member Handbook".

At the same time, our province has synchronously reorganized the Party, government, Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the direction of streamlining, ending the activities of Party delegations and Party executive committees, establishing new Party committees and Party cells at the provincial level, reducing a number of provincial-level agencies and units and internal focal points.

Through the arrangement, the team of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers has gradually stabilized and become disciplined, the quality of the team of cadres has improved, and the activities of the two-level local government have initially begun to operate smoothly and effectively.

In particular, the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline work has been led, directed and implemented seriously, comprehensively and in accordance with regulations by Party committees and inspection committees at all levels; its quality, effectiveness and efficiency have been increasingly improved, basically meeting the requirements of the new situation.

The content of inspection and supervision by Party committees at all levels continues to be innovated in a more comprehensive and comprehensive direction according to the motto "supervision must be expanded", "inspection must have focus and key points"; supervision aims to prevent violations early and from afar; overcome limitations and shortcomings. Party discipline and order are tightened, contributing to building a clean and strong Party organization.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Trang - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission said that after 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress, the Party Committee's ideological work has had many innovations in content and methods, actively contributing to maintaining the ideological front, creating consensus among cadres, party members and people, successfully implementing the set socio-economic development goals.

Aspiration to develop the province

With the motto: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", in the 2025-2030 term, the Party Committee and People clearly demonstrate their will, determination and aspiration to build Vinh Long to develop rapidly and sustainably in the new era.

Accordingly, strive for an average growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) of 10%; average GRDP per capita by 2030 of 169.46 million VND; poverty rate maintained at a reduction of 1-1.5 percentage points/year; rate of party committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee completing their tasks well or better annually of over 85%; rate of grassroots party organizations completing their tasks well or better annually of over 90%...

Continue to perfect the streamlined organization, operate effectively, efficiently and effectively; build a team of cadres at all levels who are truly virtuous, talented, prestigious, creative and innovative, up to the task. Enhance political capacity, research, forecasting, planning, policy and resolution development capacity. Mobilize all resources, attract investment to develop infrastructure, create momentum for rapid, harmonious and sustainable socio-economic development.

Comrade Nguyen Van Hieu - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee said that in order to continue to effectively implement the arrangement and streamlining of the organizational apparatus associated with improving the quality of cadres, party members, and the effectiveness of the 2-level local government model, it is necessary to build a unified, transparent and modern system of legal documents, suitable to the new development characteristics.

At the same time, a team of professional cadres with a reasonable structure and outstanding capacity will be the most solid premise for the Party Committee and provincial government to promote reform, effectively implement decentralization and delegation of power; thereby, meeting the requirements of rapid and sustainable development and maintaining a comprehensive leadership role in the new period.

According to comrade Le Chi Thanh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, it is necessary to consider the development of digital human resources as a decisive breakthrough for the success of digital transformation in Party work. The focus is to promote training and fostering of digital skills for cadres and party members at all levels, ensuring that each cadre is capable of working in a digital environment.

Incorporate the application of information technology and digital transformation into training programs for officials in the political system, especially for leaders and managers. At the same time, there should be appropriate mechanisms and policies to attract, promote and reward IT talents, encourage young officials to develop their capacity, and link training with practical use.

Secretary of the Nhon Phu Commune Party Committee Nguyen Huynh Thu said that in the 2025-2030 term, the entire Party Committee of the commune will promote democracy, unity in ideology, will and action, and build a scientific, democratic, and practical working style.
