Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai inspected the Solid Waste Treatment Area Project in Hong Son Commune.

Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai conducted a field survey of the construction area of Hong Son solid waste treatment area.

The Solid Waste Treatment Area Project in Hong Son Commune (formerly Hong Liem Commune) has an area of 20.27 hectares. The project has been included in the list of bidding for investment projects using land in the province by the Lam Dong Provincial People's Council; the bidding plan is for the period 2025 - 2026.

After the on-site inspection, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai and the working delegation had a working session with Hong Son Commune People's Committee.

At the meeting, representatives of relevant departments and branches requested the Provincial People's Committee to assign the People's Committee of Hong Son commune as the project investor, hire a consulting unit, select modern waste treatment technology, and ensure the environment in the area.

Speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai agreed in principle to assign Hong Son Commune People's Committee as the investor of the Solid Waste Treatment Area Project in the area.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the People's Committee of Hong Son commune to prepare procedures for selecting a consulting unit, complete the detailed project planning project, and develop a budget estimate to submit to the competent authority for approval.

At the same time, request the relevant departments and branches to support Hong Son commune in the project implementation process, select effective solid waste treatment technology, and ensure the power system for the factory after it comes into operation.

Regarding the area overlapping with the project's planning, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to review and cut the 7.3-hectare area overlapping with the Nui Ech construction stone quarry planning out of the project area; the remaining area of nearly 13 hectares still ensures the implementation of the Hong Son Solid Waste Treatment Area Project.
