Nearly 1,000 people participated in the Hong Son Commune Sports Festival

In his opening speech, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hong Son Commune, Head of the Steering Committee of the Commune Sports Congress Dang Minh Duc said that in recent years, Hong Son Commune has always identified sports development as an important task: Sports facilities have been invested in, the physical training movement has developed extensively, and the number of households and people participating in regular training has increased steadily every year.

In the period 2021-2025, the rate of people exercising regularly increased from 37.8% to 41.5%, and the number of households exercising increased from 29.5% to 31%. Volleyball, Soccer, Badminton, Fitness, Martial Arts, Running clubs... operated actively, creating useful playgrounds, discovering and nurturing many outstanding athletes to participate in city and national competitions, winning many medals.

The 1st Hong Son Commune Sports Festival in 2025 took place with 8 competitions: Badminton, football, volleyball, table tennis, folk dance, martial arts, chess, tug of war. Through the competitions, the Organizing Committee selected outstanding athletes, striving to win 20 medals of all kinds at city-level competitions.

The opening ceremony of the congress took place in an exciting atmosphere with a parade of 15 groups with more than 300 representatives of the armed forces, civil servants, members of organizations, students, athletes of sports clubs; three mass performances with nearly 320 people performing the songs "Healthy for the country", "Vietnamese spirit", "Songs for Uncle Ho", expressing the spirit of solidarity and aspirations of the cadres and people of Hong Son commune.

The congress attracted nearly 1,000 participants, including a large number of delegates, athletes, and supporters... The atmosphere of the sports festival spread throughout the commune, with colorful flags and banners, the sound of drums and music mixed with the cheers of the people, creating a vibrant and exciting atmosphere, affirming the spirit of "Healthy to build and protect the Fatherland" of the people of Hong Son today.
