About 25 km from the center of Da Lat city, Le Phuc Rose Garden with 80-year-old trees in Tram Hanh commune of this city has just been recognized by Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee as meeting the criteria of an agricultural tourism destination. To welcome the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024, Le Phuc Rose Garden is one of 22 free service points for visitors.

One morning in the middle of winter in 2024, passing Cau Dat, Xuan Truong down to the top of D'ran Pass, Tram Hanh Commune at an altitude of 1,500 m, white fog spread across the green pine hills, revealing Le Phuc Rose Garden at the end of the season, still luxuriant with clusters of red and yellow fruits. Sitting by the window touching the fog hanging on the persimmon trees, the reporter was told by Ms. Le Thuy Oanh, in charge of Le Phuc Rose Garden Tourist Spot, that in the early days of the last month of the year, every morning with many waves of fog pouring into the rose garden until after 10 o'clock before leaving. The peak of fog covers the months of May, June, July, and August of the year. At around 5 o'clock in the morning, from Le Phuc Rose Garden, you can turn 360 degrees to admire the endless sea of floating clouds. At noon, when the sky is clear, on the 1,500 m high cloud layer of Le Phuc Rose Garden, you can see a distant, hazy view of the Phan Rang sea and sky.
In the season of fog and clouds, Le Phuc Rose Garden still covers each rose tree canopy and spills down to the paths in an area of over 2 hectares. Ms. Le Thuy Oanh also added that Le Phuc Rose Garden owns about 200 ancient rose trees from 60-80 years old and 100 rose trees over 10 years old. The tallest tree is up to 15 m, the shortest is up to 5 m, the tree canopy is 3-5 m. Cared for according to organic standards, Le Phuc Rose Garden welcomes a regular harvest season every year from early August to the end of December. After harvesting, carefully cut branches, trim the canopy, clean moss, mold on the tree trunks, apply organic fertilizer to balance nutrients for the trees and ensure a clean environment.
Regarding the results of the 2024 persimmon harvest, Ms. Le Thuy Oanh estimated: “Each tree can harvest up to 300 kg, and the tree can harvest at least 50 kg. The peak season in August and September harvests about 70% of the year's output. Le Phuc Persimmon Garden processes crispy persimmons and wind-dried persimmons for visitors to use on the spot or buy as specialty gifts. In particular, there is an area of 300 m2 of wind-dried persimmons according to Japanese technical processes, with a processing time of 20-25 days for visitors. The remaining persimmons on the tree are about 30% for visitors to experience, directly picking ripe fruit from the tree to feel the typical flavor of the temperate plateau until the end of December...”.
But Le Phuc Rose Garden is not only dominated by rose trees, but also has winding paths leading to green patches of Arabica coffee trees, with white flowers blooming in the season and red, fragrant fruits in the fall. In particular, the 80-year-old Da Lat pine-covered wooden house, with an area of about 60 square meters, is preserved almost intact with brick floors, corrugated iron roofs, household items, tables, chairs, beds, televisions, music players from the same period, visitors can stay overnight to explore a part of the memories of old Da Lat. On the grounds of the 80-year-old house, there is also a mossy natural rock bank, a stream of water from the top of the high mountain gently flowing into a small lake that accumulates every day. In front of the house is a space of hundreds of square meters for camping for guests to stay overnight, listening to the wind echoing from the vast pine hills surrounding it. And around the large rose tree, there is a large area for a music stage, singing to each other every night for tourists. Fires are lit here to prepare grilled dishes typical of the mountains and forests, the smoke spreads up and blends with the cold winds of the highlands...
With natural products that are still pristine, the Le Phuc Rose Garden Agricultural Tourism Site in Tram Hanh Commune, Da Lat City in the 2024 rose season, initially welcomes about 80 visitors per day from the central route of Da Lat City down and Don Duong District up to D'ran Pass. Groups of guests staying at Le Phuc Rose Garden often book a month in advance to welcome them. For example, in December 2024, Le Phuc Rose Garden served a group of 50 guests from the South who came to experience and stay, expressed their feelings about many interesting things and promised to return. To meet the needs of visitors and experiencers in 2025, in addition to intensive cultivation of rose trees to achieve good growth, quality and yield of organic products, Le Phuc Rose Garden continues to expand and build a camping area under the rose canopy to increase the length of stay of tourists according to increasing demand...
