Despite the prolonged period of intense heat, with temperatures reaching nearly 40 degrees Celsius at times, the exam preparation spirit of students in Thanh Hoa during this "peak" period has not slowed down.

Amidst the harsh weather of late May, teachers and students at Dong Hai Secondary School in Hac Thanh Ward are still diligently reviewing and preparing for the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year.

The principal of Dong Hai Secondary School, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan, shared: “The entire school has a total of 145 ninth-grade students registered to participate in the entrance exam for public high schools. From the beginning of the school year, the school has organized review sessions for students in accordance with Circular 29/2024/TT-BGĐĐT, and these sessions will be maintained until May 29, 2026, completely free of charge.”

Ms. Luu Thi Mai, a Literature teacher at Dong Hai Secondary School, said: “The hot weather has been continuous, sometimes reaching 39-40 degrees Celsius. To ensure students attend class regularly and are in a good mood for learning, the school has had to overcome difficulties and organize review sessions according to the plan so that they have enough knowledge and confidence to enter the important upcoming exam.”

In the mountainous areas of the province, under the scorching sun, in the classrooms, graduating students still attentively listen to lectures, diligently solve problems, and gather knowledge to prepare for their exams.

Mr. Nguyen Nam Son, Principal of Muong Lat High School in Muong Lat commune, said: “This year's weather is harsher than in previous years, with temperatures in the classroom rising very high on many days. To ensure the health of the students, the school has flexibly adjusted the review time to the mornings, and afternoon classes will be held later to avoid the heat.”

These days, exam preparation is also underway at Ba Thuoc Secondary and High School in Pu Luong commune. Classrooms have been equipped with extra fans and drinking water to serve students during this peak exam period. Given that both 9th and 12th grade students are preparing for exams, the school has proactively adjusted the review schedule, increasing the number of early morning and late afternoon classes to ensure the students' health.

The principal of Ba Thuoc Secondary and High School, Ms. Ha Thi Thu, said: “The school always strives to create the best conditions for students to ensure both their health and sufficient time for effective revision before the exam. Therefore, along with consolidating knowledge, teachers regularly encourage and motivate students, avoiding pressure so that they can focus on their studies.”

Under the scorching heat of the mountainous region of Thanh Hoa , teachers and students of Cam Thuy 3 High School in Cam Thach commune are diligently preparing for their exams.

Mr. Ngo Tien Hoang, Deputy Principal in charge of Cam Thuy 3 High School, shared: “The high school graduation exam is approaching. Overcoming difficulties caused by harsh weather, the school is focusing on organizing exam preparation for students; at the same time, we regularly remind students to travel and eat properly to ensure their health.”

Students in Thanh Hoa are in the "peak" of exam preparation.

Along with increasing the use of fans and air conditioners and adjusting the school schedule accordingly, schools in the province have also assigned medical staff and school psychologists to be on duty regularly to provide timely support to students, while ensuring an adequate supply of drinking water and coordinating with parents to remind them to pay attention to proper nutrition and rest to help students maintain good health during this period of harsh weather, in preparation for important upcoming exams.
