'Overcoming the sun' to build two bridges connecting the two banks of Kinh Thay River

At the construction site of Van Bridge and Tan An Bridge (Hai Duong), amidst the scorching heat of the summer days of June, hundreds of engineers and workers are working hard to 'overcome the heat', urgently constructing to soon complete the bridges connecting the two banks of Kinh Thay River.

The Van Bridge project is part of the Investment Project to build the Van Road and Bridge connecting National Highway 37 (Chi Linh) with the Trieu Bridge approach road (Kinh Mon) with a total length of about 13.07 km (main route 9.7 km and 2 branch routes 3.37 km); in which the Van Bridge is nearly 900 m long and 12 m wide. The total investment of the entire project is 1,296 billion VND.

The joint venture of Construction Investment Joint Stock Company No. 18 - Phuong Hoang Construction and Trading Joint Stock Company - Viet A Electrical Construction and Industrial Development Consulting Joint Stock Company is the contractor for the project. Hundreds of engineers, workers and many machines and equipment were mobilized, divided into many construction teams to carry out the project with high determination to complete the project on schedule.

With the spirit of "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain", despite the hot weather, workers of Construction Investment Joint Stock Company No. 18 still focus on working on the construction site.

Construction started in February 2025 and has now completed about 22% of the Van bridge project. The contractor is focusing on constructing the bridge piers, casting the Supper T girders, etc. The project is expected to be completed in September 2026.

Not far away, the Tan An bridge project under the Tan An bridge construction investment project and the access road connecting National Highway 18 (Chi Linh City) with a total length of 3.485 km (the bridge is over 572 m long, 12 m wide) through Chi Linh City and Nam Sach District is also under construction. The project has a total investment of 600 billion VND.

Construction started in February 2024, and Tan An Bridge has completed about 20% of its work volume. The three piers T8, T9, and T10 have been completed, while the remaining piers are under construction for foundation, pier base, foundation pit, etc. The project is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

The hot weather makes the workers work harder, but everyone tries their best. They divide the work into night shifts and limit working during peak hours to protect their health.

Workers are working hard at the construction site, contributing to speeding up construction progress and soon completing the bridges connecting the two banks of Kinh Thay River.
