Gao Commune is a new administrative unit established on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of the three communes of Gao, Ia Kenh and Ia Pech. After the merger, Gao Commune has a total natural area of 182.47 km2 with 21 hamlets and villages; population size of 15,957 people, of which ethnic minorities account for about 64%. The whole commune has 123 poor households, accounting for 3.52% of the total number of households.
At the meeting, the leaders of Gao commune raised difficulties and problems in the area after the merger. Accordingly, due to the large area, many villages, sparse population, uneven human resources... leading to great pressure in administrative management, security and order, health,education and public services. Temporary offices, equipment, information technology infrastructure serving digital transformation have not met the needs of the apparatus.
In addition, the commune also proposed issues on planning; degraded traffic infrastructure; maintaining and preserving national cultural identity, building and developing gong culture in ethnic minority villages to serve tourism ; sustainable poverty reduction associated with vocational training, job creation; environmental pollution from landfills...

Concluding the working session, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Rah Lan Chung highly appreciated the initial results in the commune's activities. At the same time, he requested that the political system of Gao commune promote the spirit of solidarity, determination and resoluteness in implementing tasks.
Currently, the poverty rate of the commune is still high, so in the development process, the commune needs to orient its goals and have sustainable poverty reduction solutions. It is necessary to continue reviewing and evaluating the disbursement progress of the 3 national target programs being implemented in the area.
In addition, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that the locality actively strengthen the management of protective forests. With a large land fund, the commune needs to arrange industrial cluster planning to attract investment in the area, creating more jobs for the people. The commune also needs to review and integrate approved planning projects, as a premise for the socio-economic development of the locality.
Regarding the commune's proposal on handling issues related to environmental pollution from the Gao commune landfill, comrade Rah Lan Chung acknowledged and assigned relevant departments to resolve.

Inspecting the operation of the Gao Commune Public Administration Service Center, comrade Rah Lan Chung highly appreciated the process of receiving and handling administrative procedures for the people.
Here, he directly presented certificates of land use rights and property ownership rights attached to land to 2 local residents. These are the first 2 certificates of land use rights and property ownership rights attached to land in the locality under the authority of the Chairman of the Commune People's Committee to issue according to Decree 151/2025/ND-CP of the Government.

On this occasion, comrade Rah Lan Chung presented gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province to the Party Committee, People's Committee of the ward, and the Police of Gao commune.
