Members of the Farmers' Association in Pơng Drang commune have reported on the current situation regarding the use of pesticides in durian production.

To ensure the sustainable development of the durian industry, the People's Committee of Pơng Drang commune has implemented several solutions: supporting cooperatives and cooperative groups to link with businesses for purchasing, processing, and exporting; guiding people to apply VietGAP production processes; regularly inspecting and monitoring durian growing areas and packaging facilities in the area…

However, durian production and consumption in Pơng Drang commune still face many limitations. The area granted planting area codes and packaging facilities is not commensurate with the potential; the output market is unstable and heavily dependent on China; and the misuse of pesticides and violations of construction regulations at some warehouses still occur.

At the same time, he advised farmers to carefully and transparently sign procurement contracts to avoid risks and being "trapped" by unscrupulous businesses.
