The suspect opened fire indiscriminately at a shopping mall in Texas, killing 9 people and injuring many others, including children.
Texas State Police, USA on the afternoon of May 6 (morning of May 7, Hanoi time) deployed forces to respond to a shooting at the Allen Premium Outlets shopping center in Allen city, Collin county.
Texas officials confirmed at least nine people were killed in the shooting, with seven others being treated at hospitals. A Dallas-area medical team near Allen said they had received several child victims, including a five-year-old.
Allen Police Chief Brian Harvey said the suspect was shot dead by police after he began shooting outside the mall. Police believe the gunman acted alone in the attack and are investigating a motive.

A witness described the gunman walking outside the mall and firing randomly without aiming at any specific target.
"We were just coming out of a store when all of a sudden we heard an explosion," said Elaine Penicaro, who was visiting Allen Premium Outlets with her daughter. "We froze, then there was gunfire, flashes of light right in front of us, and we had to retreat into the store to hide."
Images released by local media showed police rushing to evacuate civilians, cordoning off the area with patrol cars and sending ambulances near the entrance to the mall.
The United States is the developed country with the highest rate of gun deaths in the world , with about 49,000 deaths in 2021.
This year, the United States has recorded more than 195 mass shootings with more than four victims each, according to statistics from the Gun Violence Archive.
