The inspection work focused on key locations with high risk of damage when storms and heavy rains occur, such as the DT1TB dam bridge (Binh Khuong village), residential area of group 6 (Bau Binh village), and fish cage farming and shrimp farming areas along the Truong Giang river.

The DT1TB dam bridge is one of the key points, regularly receiving large amounts of water. This project had its abutment broken, causing traffic disruption in previous rainy seasons. To ensure safety, Thang An commune promptly allocated funds to fix the problem and complete the repair before this year's rainy season.

In group 6 of Bau Binh village, a revolutionary base with many policy households, the situation is also very worrying. Due to the planning of the Nam Hoi An Resort Project, for nearly 20 years, people have not been able to build new or repair houses, causing many structures to seriously deteriorate, making it difficult to withstand big storms. Mr. Dang Ngoc To, Head of Bau Binh village, said that through a survey, the whole village has about 50 people living in semi-permanent houses that need to be evacuated if a storm hits, including lonely elderly people and policy families.

Mr. Ngo Ngoc Hung, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, requested members of the Commune Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue Command Committee and civil defense forces in the villages to uphold the spirit of being on duty, closely monitor the storm's developments to proactively respond promptly and effectively, in order to minimize human and property damage to the people.

To date, Thang An commune has established 19 civil defense teams in the villages and issued a 2025 disaster response plan according to risk levels. According to this plan, the entire commune has nearly 1,400 people in key areas, unsafe housing, and needs to be evacuated in case of a strong storm. This number will increase to more than 1,700 people if a super typhoon makes landfall. In addition, 141 households are also subject to evacuation in case of deep flooding.

In addition, the local government has issued a notice to respond to storm No. 10, in coordination with the Binh Minh Border Guard Station, calling on fishing boats to move to safe shelters. At the same time, the commune has encouraged people to move their fishing vessels near the shore such as boats and basket boats to higher ground to avoid damage.
