At the working session, the delegation listened to the leaders of Yen Luong commune report on the progress of implementing the commune's advanced new rural criteria. Up to now, the commune has basically completed 19/19 advanced new rural criteria. The delegation also went to the field to survey the results of implementing basic criteria such as: Assessing environmental criteria, checking the environmental landscape of some traffic routes in hamlets and villages, implementing the model of classifying and treating waste at source of households in residential areas; checking the average income per capita, assessing the satisfaction level of people in hamlets, surveying model flower roads, security and order criteria, production models in hamlets...

During the field survey, the Delegation acknowledged the drastic implementation of the Steering Committee for Advanced New Rural Areas of Yen Luong Commune in implementing the task of building advanced new rural areas in the past time, especially the great efforts of the entire political system and people in the commune to join hands and unite in building from a new rural commune to an advanced new rural commune. The Delegation requested the leaders of Yen Luong Commune to continue completing the dossier to submit to the superiors for a decision to recognize the commune as having completed the criteria and regulations of a commune meeting the advanced new rural standards in 2025.
In addition, the commune continues to promote propaganda work so that people continue to accompany the government in building and maintaining advanced NTM criteria, actively participate in landscape and environmental improvement, plant and care for flowers and trees on the roads, maintain security and order criteria, and create a peaceful and happy life for the people.

Next, the delegation also visited the model of growing straw mushrooms in a greenhouse in Long Binh commune, Go Cong Tay district.
The model of growing straw mushrooms in a greenhouse was carried out at the family of farmer Le Tan Phat, Phu Trung hamlet, Long Binh commune. Taking advantage of the straw source near his house, from 2023 to now, Mr. Phat has boldly invested in building 2 rows of straw mushroom houses with an area of nearly 150 m2 , with an investment cost of about 6 million VND. Currently, the 2 straw mushroom houses have a total of 8 mushroom shelves, each mushroom shelf has an area of 10 m2 , Mr. Phat arranges the shelves to stack composted straw with a reasonable thickness to help the straw mushrooms grow well and give high yield. The mushroom house is systematically designed to proactively, adjust, and manage temperature, humidity and harmful organisms.

The time to compost straw in a closed house is about 20 days, then start harvesting finished straw mushrooms, lasting from 7 to 10 days to complete a batch. On average, Mr. Phat harvests about 20 kg of clean straw mushrooms per day, with the selling price of straw mushrooms ranging from 70,000 to 80,000 VND/kg, creating a stable source of income for the family.
After visiting the model, the delegation highly appreciated the effectiveness of Mr. Phat's indoor straw mushroom growing model, which is suitable for local conditions, and encouraged the local agricultural sector to continue to pay attention, promote and guide farmers to implement the model, take advantage of agricultural straw by-products to produce straw mushrooms for economic efficiency, create additional income for the family, and contribute to solving employment for rural workers.
