Yen Son commune proactively responds to typhoon number 3.

Leaders of Yen Son commune inspected and directed storm prevention and control efforts at Lien Chung spillway, Yen Son commune, to mitigate the effects of typhoon No. 3.

Accordingly, to proactively respond to and minimize damage caused by the storm, the Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune requested the Civil Defense - Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue Command of the commune to closely monitor the developments of Typhoon WIPHA and immediately implement the following: Deploy rapid response forces to inspect and review residential areas along the Da River, along streams, and low-lying areas at risk of flooding, flash floods, and landslides; proactively clear blocked waterways.

Mobilize local forces with the "four on-the-spot" principle, encourage people to take measures to protect their property, reinforce houses, and evacuate people from dangerous areas to safe places. Trim trees at risk of falling, dismantle ceremonial poles, reinforce and secure roofing, weld and brace corrugated iron roofs, use sandbags to hold roofs in place, and reinforce livestock shelters...

Heads of residential areas should notify each household living in areas at risk of landslides and flash floods to check and survey their surroundings to promptly detect any unusual or dangerous signs so that they can proactively evacuate from the danger zone. Announcements about the development of the storm and rain should be made over the neighborhood's loudspeakers so that people can be aware and proactively respond to minimize damage caused by the storm.

Prepare plans to organize forces for guarding, controlling, supporting, and guiding traffic safety for people and vehicles, especially at underpasses, overflows, areas with deep flooding, areas with strong currents, and areas where landslides have occurred or are at risk of occurring. Resolutely prohibit people and vehicles from passing through if safety cannot be guaranteed; deploy forces, materials, and equipment to address incidents and ensure smooth traffic flow on main roads when landslides occur, and guide traffic diversion to ensure safety and convenience.

Maintain a strict 24/7 duty roster to promptly assess damage and take appropriate response measures, ensuring that forces and resources are ready to organize rescue and relief operations in the event of damage.
