Child lifted upside down and brutally beaten: Another child had a plastic stick stuffed into his mouth

This morning, April 12, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Nam Province Police announced that it had begun an investigation and invited the person who committed the child abuse at the Con Cung private kindergarten (in Phuoc Chanh village, Que My commune, Que Son district) to come in for questioning.

According to the Provincial Police Investigation Agency, at 6:30 p.m. on April 11, immediately after receiving a report from the people regarding a clip about child abuse occurring in Que My commune, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency coordinated with Que My commune police to organize a crime scene investigation (the children's classroom) to verify and investigate the incident.

In addition, the police temporarily detained and sealed 1 camera memory card, 1 plastic bar and related objects. At the same time, a working group was sent to coordinate the transfer of NPĐ.K (the abused child) to the hospital for examination and determination of injuries.

On the night of April 11, Que My Commune Police called and invited NNUL (24 years old, in Que My Commune), the owner of the Con Cung private kindergarten and also the person who committed the act of violence against the children as shown in the video clip, to work.

Abused 2 other children

Initial verification results determined that at around 11:55 a.m. on April 11, at the Con Cung private kindergarten, while watching the children go to bed, L. abused NLHN (2 years old) and NPĐ.K (2 years old), threatening them to stop crying and go to sleep.

Ms. NNUL admitted all wrongdoings.

The incident was recorded by a camera in the children's classroom.

At around 6:30 p.m. the same day (April 11), NPĐ.K's parents posted on Facebook and reported to the police.

At the police station, Ms. NNUL admitted all her wrongdoings. The case is currently being investigated by the Investigation Police Department of Quang Nam Province and will be strictly handled according to regulations.

Unacceptable behavior

Earlier, on the afternoon of April 11, a nearly 1-minute clip was circulated on social media, recording a group of children sleeping at noon that day. A woman went up to grab a child’s legs, picked him up, and used a wooden object to hit his legs several times, causing the child to cry out.

Then, this person turned to the children sleeping behind him and continued to use a plastic stick to stuff into the child's mouth while the child was also crying, to scare them.

The 2-year-old child was picked up and brutally beaten by Mrs. L.

Except for the two beaten children, the other children were sleeping soundly.

When the clip was posted, it received many angry comments about the woman's actions.

This morning, April 12, Mr. Dinh Nguyen Vu, Secretary of Que Son District Party Committee, said that after receiving information about the suspected child abuse incident at the Con Cung private kindergarten, the district directed the immediate cessation of operations at this facility.

Local leaders also visited and encouraged the families of the two children beaten by the female teacher.

According to Mr. Vu, no matter how big or small the incident is, the act of beating children must be dealt with seriously, because this behavior is unacceptable.
