Prepare carefully and thoroughly
This year, the Opening Ceremony has special significance as the Ministry of Education and Training held the ceremony at the National Convention Center on the morning of September 5 and broadcast it live to tens of thousands of schools in 34 provinces and cities.
In Hanoi , schools will gather from 7am tomorrow to welcome students of the first grades, perform art performances, and then broadcast the national opening ceremony on VTV1, Vietnam Television.
Ms. Kieu Thanh Huyen - Vice Principal of Tan Mai Secondary School (Tuong Mai Ward) said: This school year, the school welcomed more than 700 6th grade students, bringing the total number of students in the school to nearly 3,000. This morning (September 4), teachers and students were present very early to prepare the stage, decorate with flags and flowers, and check the broadcasting equipment.
Emphasizing the significance of this year's Opening Ceremony associated with the 80th anniversary of the formation and development of the education sector, Ms. Huyen said that the school has promoted propaganda among teachers and students about this special event. From there, it spreads the spirit of studiousness, pride in the tradition of the education sector, and arouses the determination to strive to teach well and study well right from the beginning of the school year.
To ensure connection quality, the school has installed a large screen in the school yard, checked and carefully prepared the transmission quality, and is ready to broadcast the opening ceremony program organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.
In addition, each classroom is equipped with a television connected to high-speed internet, as a backup plan in case of bad weather. In addition to the ceremony, students will also participate in cultural performances, receive New Year gifts and listen to teachers' instructions.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc - Principal of Dinh Cong Secondary School (Dinh Cong Ward) said that this year is the first year that the school's students have celebrated the opening ceremony in a new, spacious and modern school.
Last year, more than 1,500 teachers and students of Dinh Cong Secondary School had a particularly impressive opening ceremony at the ward's stadium after two consecutive years of not being able to attend the opening ceremony because they had to "study" at cultural houses and public activity places in the ward while waiting for the construction of a new school.
This year is a special year for the teachers and students of the school as they were able to attend the opening ceremony in “double joy”, both the sacred atmosphere of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education and the joy of a new, spacious and modern school.
Nguyen Phuong Anh, a student at Dinh Cong Secondary School, said that this year she is in grade 9, her last year at Dinh Cong School. She is always eager to attend the opening ceremony, because this is always an unforgettable memory for every student. This year in particular, the opening ceremony is held in the festive atmosphere of the country, so she is very excited.

Looking forward to the festival
Mr. Hoang Chi Sy - Principal of Luu Hoang High School (Hoa Xa Commune) said that the school's opening ceremony will be held in 3 parts. From 7:00 to 7:55, the school will welcome 10th grade students; from 8:00 to 9:30, the school will broadcast live the opening ceremony of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Next is the performance program, rewarding students with high results in the 2025 high school graduation exam; honoring students with top scores in the 10th grade exam, and awarding scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties. Students will also return to class for the first lesson on elegant and civilized living, which will end at 10:30.
According to Mr. Sy, the special thing this year is that the Opening Ceremony at schools will be connected to the national television broadcast. To implement this content well, the school has moved and installed 5 TV screens from the functional rooms to the school yard so that all students can watch.
“On September 3, the school checked and reviewed all stages; including sound, internet connection, ensuring readiness to connect to the opening ceremony” - Principal of Luu Hoang High School said.

In disadvantaged areas such as Nam Phuong Tien A Secondary School (Xuan Mai Commune), preparation work is even more focused. Due to the weather, many roads leading to the school are still flooded.
According to principal Nguyen Ba Thang, the school has proactively moved all equipment and documents to the upper floors, and closely coordinated with the commune government to organize the opening ceremony at the commune Party Committee headquarters. Currently, the preparation work has been completed.
Because the school is still flooded, the school has also made plans for students to temporarily stop attending classes and not take online classes because conditions are not guaranteed. It is expected that after 1-2 weeks of the water receding, the school will organize cleaning and return to normal learning.
With a pioneering spirit of creativity, teachers and students of Cau Giay Secondary School will have a memorable Opening Ceremony on September 5 with a well-prepared and unique script. Before and after broadcasting the program of the Ministry of Education and Training, the school will have a singing, dancing and word-arranging performance with the theme: "80 years of independence - thousands of dreams flying far" with the participation of 500 students.
Next, in the historical witness exchange section, the school invited historian Le Van Lan and two veterans to the school to share interesting and meaningful stories about history; students were divided into two separate corners to increase the opportunity to ask questions and interact with the guests.
Before the Opening Ceremony, students and teachers also painstakingly prepared “The Path of History”, recording important milestones from 1945 to the present, so that students can have an overview, understand history, and foster love for their homeland and country.
Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong emphasized: “The 2025-2026 school year will be an important turning point for the capital's education sector. With the policy of free tuition, lunch support, and the synchronous organization of the National Opening Ceremony, the whole sector is gradually building a high-quality, integrated, and equitable education system. That is the foundation for training human resources to serve the development of the capital and the country.
