According to information from the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, up to now, 100% of schools in the city have opened to welcome students.

Flooded schools have had all the water drained, and environmental sanitation and disinfection work has been urgently carried out to ensure the safety of students and teachers when they return to school.

Notably, Phu Do Kindergarten (Tu Liem Ward) - the last of 30 schools in Hanoi to be flooded during the recent storm - has completely receded this morning.

The school is urgently cleaning and disinfecting the entire campus. During this time, to ensure that care and education is not interrupted, the school's children have been temporarily transferred to another facility in the area.

Since September 30, two consecutive storms have caused heavy rain over a large area, causing many roads and residential areas in Hanoi to be partially flooded, directly affecting teaching and learning activities.

Faced with complicated weather developments, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has directed schools to proactively monitor the situation and flexibly change teaching methods to ensure safety and not disrupt the school year schedule.

As of today, no schools in the city are flooded. Some students in residential areas still experiencing water stagnation are supported by their schools in flexible learning methods such as online learning or receiving homework assignments to do at home. At the same time, schools have also developed and announced plans for make-up classes to ensure the content of the curriculum is maintained.
