On the afternoon of October 21, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu My Ward (HCMC), term 2025 - 2030, closed.

Attending and directing the congress were comrade Vo Ngoc Thanh Truc, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union; also attending was comrade Bui Chi Thanh, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Phu My Ward.

The congress elected 53 members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward for the new term. Comrade Do Thi Minh Thuy was elected to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu My ward for the 2025-2030 term.

According to the Congress resolution, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu My ward for the 2025-2030 term identified 12 targets and 3 breakthroughs. Typically, creating consensus in site clearance for key projects; supporting start-ups associated with vocational training, improving the quality of front activities; and promoting digital transformation, promoting the role of youth in building civilized and modern urban areas.

In the new term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu My Ward aims to substantially and effectively innovate its organization and methods of operation, taking people as the center, subject, resources and driving force for development. Member organizations are required to increase the application of technology, focus on residential areas and effectively implement two-level local government.

In his speech directing the congress, comrade Vo Ngoc Thanh Truc requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu My ward to focus on 6 key tasks. Specifically, consolidating the organizational model after the merger; promoting the movement "All people unite to build a civilized, safe and humane urban area"; mobilizing people to participate in infrastructure construction and environmental protection; strengthening social supervision and criticism; developing services - vocational training associated with industrial - seaport advantages; and consolidating solidarity between local people and migrant workers.

“The Front’s resolutions must be easy to remember, easy to do, easy to check; the goals must be few but clear, measurable and spreadable, not just beautiful resolutions on paper,” Comrade Vo Ngoc Thanh Truc emphasized.

In addition, comrade Vo Ngoc Thanh Truc suggested that the Party Committee and People's Committee of Phu My ward continue to pay attention to personnel work, create a two-way coordination mechanism between the Front and the government, ensure resources and funding, and at the same time encourage the Front to participate in early and remote criticism of local socio-economic development projects.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu My ward presented 460 million VND to support people affected by storms and floods through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

* On the same day, Binh Gia commune (HCMC) also held the 1st Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front delegates, term 2025 - 2030.

With the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Breakthrough - Development", the Congress set out 8 targets, 6 action programs and 2 breakthroughs, in which striving for 100% of households to escape poverty and have stable housing, 100% of Front cadres to be professionally trained and 100% of hamlets to maintain the criteria of no more poor households.

Mr. Cao Tan Dong was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Gia commune for the 2025 - 2030 term.
