The victim was Mr. Poloong Nhuong (born in 1977, head of A Tu 1 village, Hung Son commune).
According to initial information, on his way home after working in the fields, Mr. Nhuong was suddenly attacked by a bear.
Earlier, at around 6:30 p.m. the same day, people discovered Mr. Nhuong lying unconscious on the side of the road, with many wounds on his body, suspected to be caused by wild animals' scratches and bites. Everyone immediately took the victim back to the village for first aid.
At about 7:00 p.m., Hung Son Commune Police coordinated with medical staff to take Mr. Nhuong to Ch'Om Commune Health Station for further emergency care.
Through first aid, realizing that the victim had serious injuries to the face and lower jaw, and had lost a lot of blood, the Commune Police contacted the Tay Giang Regional Medical Center to request an ambulance to go to A Tu 1 village to pick up the victim and take him to the center for treatment.
Mr. Nhuong's health is currently stable and he is being monitored and treated at a local hospital.
Hung Son commune authorities recommend that people limit going to the fields alone, especially in the evening.
