Prime Minister presents decision to appoint Permanent Deputy Minister of Science and Technology

The conference was attended by Politburo members: Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Nguyen Xuan Thang; Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; Minister of Public Security , General Luong Tam Quang; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung. Also attending were members of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Ministers, leaders of central and local ministries and branches.

At the Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented the Decisions on receiving, transferring and appointing leaders in 8 ministries, branches and agencies. Among them, Mr. Vu Hai Quan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Council, Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University, was transferred and appointed to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.

In addition, the Prime Minister also awarded the Decision:

Receive and appoint Mr. Le Van Loi, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, to hold the position of President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences.

Receive and appoint Mr. Vu Manh Ha, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Minister of Health.

Appoint Mr. Phan Chi Hieu, President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Justice.

Receive and appoint Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate.

Appoint and transfer Mr. Hoang Minh Son, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, to hold the position of Chairman of the Council and Director of Hanoi National University.

Receive and appoint Mr. Tran Hong Thai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Lam Dong province, to hold the position of Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.

Appoint and transfer Mr. Le Quan, Chairman of the Council, Director of Hanoi National University, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training.

Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the appointment demonstrates the Party and State's recognition of the capacity, prestige, training and efforts of the comrades assigned to new tasks. The Prime Minister believes that in their new positions, they will continue to promote their sense of responsibility, intelligence, strengths and solidarity with the collective leadership, cadres, civil servants and public employees to excellently complete the assigned tasks.

The Prime Minister noted that in the context of the world and regional situation still facing many difficulties and challenges, ministries, branches, agencies and leadership teams must innovate their thinking, act decisively, adapt quickly, unite and work together for the common goal.
