At the program, delegates, experts, managers, and educators in the tourism industry discussed the potential for tourism development and expanding educational and training cooperation between Vietnam and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the program, in recent years, Azerbaijan has emerged as an attractive destination for international tourists thanks to the harmonious combination of majestic natural beauty, long-standing cultural heritage, and the modernity of a dynamically developing country in the South Caucasus region.
Azerbaijan is known as the "land of fire" with its capital Baku - the city of wind, a place where the ancient and the modern meet. Here, visitors can stroll in the Icherisheher Old Town - a world cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO, admire the Maiden Tower - a historical symbol of the capital since the 12th century, or explore the Heydar Aliyev Center with its unique curving architecture designed by famous female architect Zaha Hadid.
Deputy Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Thi Hoa Mai shared at the program
Not only stopping in Baku, places such as Heydar Museum, Sheki, Gabala, Gusar or Shahdag are all "hidden gems" on the journey to explore Azerbaijan. From the majestic Caucasus Mountains, the pristine Hyrcanian forests, to ski resorts, traditional ancient villages, all create a unique and attractive natural and cultural picture.
As a country that blends Eastern and Western civilizations, Azerbaijan possesses a rich culture with traditional Mugham music, handicrafts, famous Sheki carpets, and many unique folk festivals. In particular, the cuisine here is also a highlight that visitors cannot forget.
The program attracted a large number of delegates and students to attend.
Sharing at the program, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Thi Hoa Mai said: In recent years, Vietnam has become a favorite destination for more and more Azerbaijani citizens to visit and relax, especially at famous destinations in Vietnam such as Hanoi, Ha Long, Ninh Binh, Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc... Azerbaijani tourists love the natural beauty, unique cuisine and friendliness of Vietnamese people. And Azerbaijan is also gradually becoming an attractive destination for Vietnamese tourists - especially young people who love new experiences. With a unique geographical location at the intersection of the two continents of Asia and Europe, possessing a temperate climate, unique architecture and rich cultural exchange, Azerbaijan has great potential to attract tourists from Vietnam in particular and Southeast Asia in general.
One of the priorities of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in the coming period is to promote the diversification of international tourist markets, expand bilateral and multilateral cooperation, including with potential countries such as Azerbaijan. Therefore, on this occasion, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism acknowledges and highly appreciates the initiative of the Embassy of Azerbaijan and the close coordination of the Hanoi College of Commerce and Tourism.
