Schools in Thanh Hoa border area prepare special opening ceremony

According to Tuoi Tre Online , on September 4th, the atmosphere in preparation for the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year was bustling from the villages to the school grounds in the seven communes along the Vietnam-Laos border (formerly the mountainous border district of Muong Lat), Thanh Hoa province.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duy Thuy, the principal of Trung Ly Ethnic Boarding Junior High School in Trung Ly border commune, Thanh Hoa province, to prepare for this year's special opening ceremony, on the morning of September 3rd, the school summoned more than 560 students from remote villages in the commune to the school for rest and recreation, creating an atmosphere of excitement for the new school year.

The school, in collaboration with VNPT Muong Lat, connected the internet to all classrooms and the school hall so that teachers and students could watch the live broadcast of the opening ceremony on VTV1 from 8:00 to 9:30 AM on September 5th. Afterward, the school held its first lesson.

Meanwhile, at Pù Nhi Primary School in Pù Nhi border commune, Thanh Hóa province, by the afternoon of September 4th, all preparations regarding facilities and equipment for the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year had been completed.

Teacher Nguyen Tien Hiep - principal of Pu Nhi Primary School - shared that because Pu Nhi Ethnic Boarding Secondary School is under construction with many new facilities and the schoolyard is cluttered with building materials; and the Pu Nhi Kindergarten schoolyard is narrow, the People's Committee of the commune allowed the three schools to hold a joint opening ceremony in the Pu Nhi Primary School yard.

This is the first time the three schools have held a joint opening ceremony with over 1,000 students gathered in one place, so the school has arranged sunshades for the students and installed three large-screen TVs with internet access in the schoolyard so that teachers, students, and parents can watch the opening ceremony live on VTV1.
