Thanh Hoa province's budget revenue reached nearly 55 trillion VND

Thanh Hoa province's state budget revenue reached 54,952 billion VND, equal to 121% of the estimate. Mobilized development investment capital reached 148.5 trillion VND, up 7.5% over the same period.

On December 5, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Standing Committee Conference was held to evaluate the results of implementing tasks in 2025, and at the same time discuss and agree on goals, tasks and key solutions for 2026 along with many other important contents under its authority.

In 2025, Thanh Hoa province will continue to maintain growth momentum in many areas. The growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated at 8.27%, ranking 15th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide; GRDP per capita will reach 3,505 USD, an increase of 145 USD compared to 2024.

Industrial production continues to grow, the industrial production index in 2025 increased by 15.8%; 17/19 key industrial products grew over the same period. State budget revenue reached 54,952 billion VND, equal to 121% of the estimate. Mobilization of development investment capital reached 148.5 trillion VND, up 7.5% over the same period.

The province attracted 119 new investment projects, including 13 FDI projects with a total registered capital of over VND18 trillion and USD437.5 million. In 2025, the province also recorded 3,510 newly established enterprises, exceeding the plan.

The cultural and social fields have many positive changes; Thanh Hoa ranked 5th in the country in terms of Digital Transformation Index. Social security work has been focused on, the poverty rate has decreased to 0.52%. The province has completed support for housing construction and repair for more than 14,780 poor households and policy households, with a total cost of 1,619 billion VND.

The conference also agreed on the direction and tasks for 2026 with 32 main targets. In particular, the province set a target of GRDP growth of 11% or more; total development investment capital of about 168 trillion VND; budget revenue increased by at least 7%; export value reached 8.5 billion USD. The province set a target of building at least 900 social housing apartments; striving for 3 more communes to meet new rural standards, 6 communes to meet advanced new rural standards and 2 communes to meet modern new rural standards.

Concluding the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Party Committee, the government and the entire political system in the context of the province having to carry out a huge amount of work but still achieving many outstanding results. These results demonstrate the spirit of solidarity, unity and high determination of the entire Party Committee, government and people in the province.

However, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh frankly pointed out: "Behind the achieved results, there are still many limitations and persistent weaknesses. If we do not focus on thoroughly overcoming them, they will become a major obstacle to the province's development process."

Mr. Nguyen Doan Anh especially noted the shortcomings in the staff, especially commune-level staff, in the context of operating a two-level local government.

Regarding the tasks for 2026, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh basically agreed with the targets and 9 tasks and solutions stated in the report and assigned the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee to coordinate with the Provincial Party Committee Office to complete the report to submit to the Provincial Party Executive Committee at the upcoming conference.
