Accordingly, to ensure absolute safety for people during the incident handling period, the People's Committee of An Hai Ward requests households in the above area to regularly check the housing condition; promptly monitor unusual signs to notify the People's Committee of the Ward for handling direction. In case of detecting unsafe risks or when notified by the authorities, households need to proactively temporarily relocate to a safe area to ensure life and property.
At the same time, people absolutely must not go near the area where subsidence has occurred, and limit travel and traffic participation in locations near the project. The People's Committee of An Hai Ward will continue to direct the Project Management Board and the construction contractor to promptly fix the problem, ensure the safety of the area and soon restore the status quo so that people can stabilize their lives.
According to the People's Committee of An Hai Ward, the Project Management Board and the construction contractor have filled the subsidence area with rocks and sand and are currently restoring the broken sewer line (expected to be completed before December 7, 2025). At the same time, the construction units have arranged barriers, warning signs, signal lights and security forces in dangerous areas and locations at risk of further subsidence.
The Ward People's Committee also sent forces to be on duty in the area, organize traffic diversion, block off and instruct people not to approach dangerous areas.
Not only did the Nguyen Cong Tru street subside and Ngo Quyen street crack, the project's construction also damaged and cracked many neighboring houses. According to Ms. Phan Thi Lua, the homeowner opposite the subsidence site, her house has recently had many long cracks on the walls, ceiling and floor. The family is currently very worried because the damage is getting more and more serious. Ms. Lua said that the project investor's representative has come to inspect and take notes four times but has not said anything about compensation or a plan to ensure the family's safety.
