The forests will remain ever green.

Phu Tho is a land rich in historical and cultural traditions, and also blessed with vast, lush green forests. For many years, the province has paid special attention to forest protection and development, considering it a key task in its sustainable socio-economic development strategy. These vast forests not only provide significant economic benefits but also play a crucial role in protecting the ecological environment, mitigating climate change, and preserving a healthy living environment.

The forests will remain ever green.

Forest rangers in Ha Hoa district are intensifying patrols and protecting forests in Hien Luong commune.

In recent years, the movement to plant forests and green barren hills has spread strongly to every locality and every household. With the advantage of over 500,000 hectares of forest land, of which more than 400,000 hectares are forested, and the province's forest cover reaching 43.6%, Phu Tho has implemented many programs and projects for planting production forests in conjunction with protecting natural forests. People have gradually shifted their mindset from exploiting forests indiscriminately to developing sustainable forestry. Many households, cooperatives, and businesses have become exemplary models in planting, caring for, and protecting forests. Notably, thanks to the application of advanced techniques, many areas of acacia, eucalyptus, teak, cinnamon forests, etc., not only bring high economic value but also create many jobs and increase income for people in rural and mountainous areas.

Recognizing forest management and protection as a regular and continuous task, Son Luong commune has proactively promoted awareness among the people regarding the implementation of legal regulations on forest management, protection, and fire prevention and control. It has coordinated with local forest rangers to directly educate residents on regulations concerning shifting cultivation, forest protection, and fire prevention and control. Furthermore, it has collaborated with relevant agencies to strengthen forest patrols and inspections, preventing illegal logging and deforestation, and maintaining forest security. With the concerted efforts of the entire political system, forest security in the commune has remained stable and secure for many years. Forest planting and the development of the forest economy have been effectively implemented by the government and the people. Annual revenue from forestry is substantial, contributing to the commune's economic development.

In addition to focusing on production forests, the province is also strengthening the management and protection of special-use and protection forests. Forest rangers and local authorities regularly patrol and promptly prevent illegal logging and transportation of forest products. Models of forest protection contracts with communities and households are widely implemented, both promoting people's responsibility in preserving forests and providing a stable source of income.

In parallel, Phu Tho province is also focusing on developing the forest product processing industry. Wood processing facilities, paper and plywood production, and household furniture manufacturing are expanding, creating a strong linkage from planting and harvesting to product consumption. As a result, the economic value of forests is enhanced, creating an incentive for people to remain committed to forestry in the long term.

The lush green forests not only provide material benefits but also play a crucial role in protecting water resources, limiting soil erosion, and maintaining biodiversity. The natural forests in communes such as Xuan Dai, Da Bac, Van Lang, and Minh Hoa also hold great potential for developing ecotourism and experiential tourism linked to nature conservation. Visitors to Phu Tho can immerse themselves in the unique cultural atmosphere of the ancestral land and enjoy the fresh air and admire the majestic, verdant beauty of the mountains and forests.

Forest protection and development efforts in Phu Tho over the years have yielded many positive results. However, to ensure these forests remain lush and green, the concerted efforts of the entire society and the determination of both the government and the people are still needed. Every tree planted, every forest preserved today, will be a precious gift for future generations.
