Building attractive products to serve tourists on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day September 2

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has just sent a document to the Departments of Tourism Management of provinces and centrally-run cities requesting them to prepare well for the conditions to serve tourists on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism requires localities and tourism units to proactively develop attractive products and ensure safety for tourists on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2.

This is a major political event of profound significance to the country, and at the same time an important opportunity for the tourism industry and localities to stimulate tourism, introduce typical products, and promote the image of the country and Vietnamese people to a large number of people and domestic tourists. The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism requests the Departments of Tourism, Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of provinces and centrally run cities to continue to effectively implement Official Dispatch No. 34/CD-TTg dated April 10, 2025 of the Prime Minister on promoting tourism development, contributing to ensuring a double-digit economic growth rate; The 2025 domestic tourism stimulus program of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the theme "Vietnam - Travel to love".

Localities need to proactively organize activities to serve tourists on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2); strengthen state management of tourism business activities and tourism services in the management area; inspect and control the quality of tourism service providers; promptly and strictly handle cases of law violations; protect the environment and food safety to maintain a civilized, friendly, professional, safe and attractive tourism environment.

In addition, localities shall publicize the hotline numbers of local authorities to promptly receive and handle information reflecting from tourists, residents and businesses related to tourism activities; in which, negative behaviors, solicitation, price increase and fraud in tourism activities shall be strictly handled.

At the same time, localities direct management boards of tourist areas, destinations, tourism businesses and tourism services in the area to: strictly implement Directive No. 11/CT-TTg dated April 21, 2025 of the Prime Minister; proactively develop plans, measures to ensure security and safety for tourists at the unit, especially for tourism products that pose a risk to the life and health of tourists; businesses absolutely do not use unregistered, uninspected, unsafe means to serve tourists; strengthen environmental sanitation, focus on ensuring food hygiene and safety; arrange warnings, rescue, fire prevention and fighting; detect, prevent and resolutely handle subjects who follow and cause trouble for tourists; arrange enough staff to guide and support guests; promptly handle arising situations.

Encourage the organization of events with the theme of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; develop unique and attractive tourism products, gratitude tours, journeys to the source associated with historical, cultural and revolutionary traditional values of the locality to demonstrate patriotism and national pride; combine with promoting communication activities, promoting and introducing tourism products;

Tourism businesses must comply with legal regulations on prices, strictly comply with regulations on registration, price posting and selling at the correct listed price; not allow arbitrary price increases, solicitation, or pressure on customers, which negatively affects the image of the locality and Vietnamese tourism in general; organize training, foster skills, improve qualifications, attitudes in serving tourists and sense of responsibility of tourism workers, especially during peak holiday periods to bring positive and friendly experiences to tourists.
