Passenger bus burned to the ground.

In Dong Thap province, a 36-seat passenger bus traveling on National Highway 80 through Chau Thanh district suddenly caught fire, causing panic among many passengers on March 7th.

Around 9 AM, a sleeper bus carrying nine people from Kien Giang to Dong Nai caught fire at the rear when it reached Cai Tau town. The 34-year-old driver attempted to extinguish the fire but failed, then shouted to alert all passengers to evacuate the bus.

Police from a nearby district dispatched a park water truck to extinguish the fire, but the flames spread rapidly. After 15 minutes, the car was completely burned, along with two motorbikes and some of the passengers' luggage.

The incident caused a prolonged traffic jam on National Highway 80. Local authorities in Chau Thanh district sent officials to offer encouragement and provide some financial assistance to help the passengers continue their journey.
