Vehicles, equipment and military parade march from early morning to Ba Dinh Square

At Ba Dinh Square, the Central Steering Committee for the celebration of major holidays and important historical events of the country in the three years 2023-2025 held a state-level rehearsal this morning for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

The rehearsal started at 6:30 a.m. and lasted about 3 hours, with the participation of the Traditional Torch Relay and Fire Guards; the Ceremonial Artillery; the Background Standing Force; and the Parade and Marching Force.

Early this morning, hundreds of vehicles carrying troops from Mieu Mon, Son Tay, Hoa Lac... followed the predetermined route to the center of Hanoi .

The wheeled artillery blocks will move from the F1 racetrack in the My Dinh Sports Complex. Meanwhile, armored tanks and tracked vehicles from the Ministry of National Defense Command will gather at a location near Ba Dinh Square, waiting for the official rehearsal time.

More than 16,300 soldiers participated in 43 walking blocks, 18 standing blocks, 6 military vehicle blocks of the Army, and 8 special vehicle blocks of the Police.

Also participating are foreign military blocs such as Russia, China, Laos, and Cambodia at the invitation of the Ministry of Defense.

The rehearsal didn't start until 6:30, but hours before that, people had already flocked to the streets around Ba Dinh Square such as Tran Phu, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Giang Vo, Kim Ma, Thanh Nien and the streets around Hoan Kiem Lake.

Hanoi had intermittent rain last night and early this morning. Many people brought raincoats, mats, water, and food, choosing a place to stand and wait for the military groups to parade through the streets after the general training session.

To ensure safety and smooth movement of forces, implementing the direction of the Organizing Committee of the celebration, units of the Army, Police and Hanoi City have deployed plans to ensure security, order and traffic safety since last night.
