The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup will take place from July 20 to August 20 in Australia and New Zealand. This is a special tournament for Vietnamese football fans because it is the first time in history that the Vietnamese women's team has participated in the biggest and most prestigious tournament on the planet.

On May 25, VMG Media Joint Stock Company (VMG Media) announced that it had reached an agreement to become the exclusive owner of the commercial exploitation and distribution of broadcasting rights for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 (FIFA Women's World Cup 2023) on television systems, OTT, mobile networks, IPTV, and public screenings in Vietnam.

After the negotiation process, VMG Media officially owns the media and broadcasting rights for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Vietnam, including free and paid forms on all infrastructures: terrestrial, cable, satellite, Internet, OTT, mobile, radio and public screening.

After owning the copyright of the 2023 Women's World Cup, VMG Media and Vietnam National Assembly Television have reached an agreement to broadcast the matches of the Vietnamese women's team and other matches at the tournament. That means Vietnamese fans can watch live matches at the 2023 Women's World Cup of coach Mai Duc Chung and his team on channel 7 of National Assembly Television . In addition, VTVcab is the unit that coordinates the production of the matches.

In the 2023 Women's World Cup, the Vietnamese women's team is in Group E with three very strong opponents: the US, the Netherlands and Portugal. In which, the US and the Netherlands are the two teams participating in the 2019 World Cup final.

According to the schedule, the Vietnamese women's team will play the opening match against the US on July 22, followed by a clash with Portugal (July 27) and the Netherlands (August 1). Currently, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team have gathered to prepare for the biggest football event of the year.
