Fined Synopex Vietnam Company 230 million VND for environmental violations

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee decided to administratively sanction Synopex Vietnam Joint Stock Company, address: Dong Tho Industrial Park, Dong Tho Commune, Yen Phong District, Bac Ninh Province. Committing an administrative violation of discharging wastewater containing normal environmental parameters into the environment exceeding the technical standards on waste from 1.1 times to less than 1.5 times in the case of discharging wastewater from 1,200 m3/day (24 hours) to less than 1,400 m3/day (24 hours). Stipulated at: Point o, Clause 2, Article 18 of Decree No. 45/2022/ND-CP dated July 7, 2022 of the Government on handling administrative violations in the field of environmental protection, the fine is 230,000,000 VND.

Remedial measures require Synopex Vietnam Joint Stock Company to implement wastewater treatment measures that meet technical standards on waste within 30 days from the date of receipt of the decision, and report the results of the remedial measures to the Department of Investigation Police on Corruption, Economic , Smuggling, and Environmental Crimes - Bac Ninh Provincial Police for monitoring. Compel Synopex Vietnam Joint Stock Company to pay for environmental sample analysis costs.

Synopex Vietnam Joint Stock Company must strictly comply with the decision. If the Company does not voluntarily comply within the deadline, it will be forced to comply according to the provisions of law.
