According to Mr. Ly Van Tuyen, Director of the Agricultural Service Center, "The infected animal was found at Mr. Ha Van Chinh's household in Na Cooc village, showing signs of illness and not eating for many days, but it was not until July 26 that the family reported it to the authorities. From July 26 to August 3, the epidemic spread to the villages of Na Cooc, Khuoi My, Phieng Put, with a total of 20 infected animals destroyed, weighing 222kg from 6 households."
Immediately after detecting the disease, Na Ri district took urgent measures to prevent and control the epidemic, destroyed all infected animals, organized sanitation and disinfection in epidemic and threatened epidemic areas, and set up a quarantine checkpoint in Na Cooc village.
Mr. Do Xuan Viet, Head of the Provincial Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, said: “The industry has come to inspect, visit and request the locality to guide the villages to properly implement the epidemic handling process, increase propaganda to raise people's awareness in epidemic prevention and control. Do not hide the disease, when livestock show signs of suspected illness, it is necessary to notify the relevant authorities early for timely handling, limiting the spread of the disease on a large scale."
Faced with the risk of the epidemic spreading, Na Ri district proposed to the province and relevant agencies to provide an additional 1,000 liters of chemicals to serve the work of epidemic prevention and control./.
