BHG - At around 3:00 p.m. on April 24, a hailstorm occurred in Niem Son Commune (Meo Vac) that lasted for more than 20 minutes. According to local residents, many hailstones with diameters ranging from 0.5 to 1 cm, some even up to 2 cm, fell densely on yards, roads and fields.

The sudden hailstorm, accompanied by a whirlwind, caused some roofs to be punctured, trees to be crushed, and crops to be damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Immediately after the incident, local authorities sent officials to villages to assess the damage and assist people in overcoming the consequences. At the same time, people were advised to closely monitor the weather, proactively reinforce their houses and cover their crops to minimize risks in the coming days.
