Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh said: "Vietnam has been witnessing a clear increase in international cooperation projects in the field of cinema. Films that choose Vietnam as a setting - from independent art products to international commercial films - not only enrich the world cinema map, but also help millions of audiences have the opportunity to discover a new, vibrant Vietnam, beyond familiar stereotypes.
We appreciate the role of cinema as a 'cultural and tourism ambassador' - not only conveying the beauty of nature, history, and people, but also promoting dialogue, cooperation, and mutual understanding between countries. In the current context of globalization, when the boundaries between fields are increasingly blurred, the connection between cinema, culture, and tourism is an inevitable trend, an opportunity for us to develop together."
Also at the workshop, Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan commented: “Vietnam is entering a period of great potential for the film industry. With beautiful natural landscapes, a professional workforce, increasingly improved infrastructure and active support from the government, we believe that Vietnam is gradually becoming an attractive and competitive destination in Asia in the field of filmmaking. The workshop, organized by the Tourism Development Support Fund, is a clear demonstration of that vision – and at the same time an effort to connect cinema with tourism development and international cultural exchange.”
