
The workshop attracted more than 300 delegates, including experts, consultants, representatives of airlines, travel companies and accommodation establishments operating in the city.
In her opening speech, Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi emphasized that Da Nang is a tourist destination rich in identity and potential. The city is not only a "gateway" and tourist distribution center of the Central region but also a national tourism growth pole. Da Nang plays the role of a "bridge", linking tourism development between the North Central region with the South Central Coast and the Central Highlands.
After the merger, Da Nang became the city with the longest coastline in the country (over 200km). This is also the locality with the most UNESCO-recognized cultural heritages in Vietnam, with 3 world cultural heritages: Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Sanctuary and Ngu Hanh Son. At the same time, the city is also proud of its rich and diverse ecosystem, including many outstanding conservation areas and national parks such as Cu Lao Cham World Biosphere Reserve and Son Tra Peninsula.
The city's tourism infrastructure system is invested synchronously and on a large scale, attracting many international brands and investors. With more than 2,200 accommodation establishments (over 64,000 rooms), 650 travel agencies, more than 200 historical relics and 200 tourist areas and spots, Da Nang possesses extremely rich tourism development potential.

The workshop “Promoting and promoting Da Nang tourism in the new era - positioning as an international destination” is an important forum for state management agencies, corporations, tourism businesses, and the tourism and media community to consult, exchange and discuss. The goal is to provide multi-dimensional perspectives, contributing to shaping the future of the city's tourism.
Based on those contributions, Da Nang city will have more ideas and a solid foundation to build strategies and plans to promote and advertise the destination's image in the coming time.
At the workshop, experts discussed and shared global tourism trends in 2026, along with new perspectives on Vietnam and Da Nang tourism. They also provided experience in promoting and advertising destinations in the region. At the same time, delegates focused on discussing and finding solutions to orient the promotion and advertising of Da Nang tourism, including positioning the destination image - competitive advantages and core values, as well as effective communication and promotion solutions in the coming time.
Within the framework of the workshop, businesses also displayed and introduced tourism products and models, and exchanged and connected in the tourism sector.
