
The workshop attracted over 300 delegates, including experts, consultants, representatives from airlines, travel companies, and accommodation establishments operating in the city.
In her opening remarks, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi emphasized that Da Nang is a tourist destination rich in unique characteristics and potential. The city is not only a "gateway" and distribution center for tourists in Central Vietnam but also a national tourism growth pole. Da Nang plays a "bridge" role, linking tourism development in the North Central region with the South Central Coast and the Central Highlands.
After the merger, Da Nang became the city with the longest coastline in the country (over 200km). It also boasts the most UNESCO-recognized cultural heritage sites in Vietnam, with three World Heritage sites: Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Sanctuary, and Marble Mountains. Furthermore, the city is proud of its rich and diverse ecosystem, including many notable conservation areas and national parks such as the Cu Lao Cham World Biosphere Reserve and Son Tra Peninsula.
The city's tourism infrastructure is comprehensively and extensively invested in, attracting many international brands and investors. With over 2,200 accommodation establishments (over 64,000 rooms), 650 travel agencies, more than 200 historical sites, and 200 tourist areas and attractions, Da Nang possesses immense potential for tourism development.

The workshop "Promoting and Marketing Da Nang Tourism in the New Era - Positioning as an International Destination" is an important forum for state management agencies, tourism corporations and businesses, as well as the tourism community and media to consult, exchange, and discuss. The goal is to provide diverse perspectives and contribute to shaping the future of the city's tourism.
Based on these contributions, Da Nang city will have more ideas and a solid foundation to build strategies and plans for promoting and advertising the city's image as a destination in the future.
At the workshop, experts exchanged and shared insights on global tourism trends in 2026, along with new perspectives on tourism in Vietnam and Da Nang. They also provided experiences in promotion and marketing from destinations in the region. Simultaneously, delegates focused on discussing and seeking solutions to guide the promotion and marketing of Da Nang tourism, including positioning the destination's image – its competitive advantages and core values, as well as effective communication and promotional solutions for the future.
Within the framework of the workshop, businesses also displayed and introduced their products and tourism models, while also networking and connecting in the tourism sector.
