On July 29, a representative of Military Hospital 175 ( Ministry of National Defense ) said that recently, the Air Rescue Team of this place coordinated with the Southern Helicopter Company - Army Corps 18 to safely transport a critically ill soldier from Truong Sa Special Zone Medical Center (Khanh Hoa province) to the hospital for treatment.
The patient is Mr. PLTL (25 years old), a soldier on duty in Truong Sa special zone. At 7:00 a.m. on July 27, the patient was admitted to Truong Sa special zone Medical Center in a state of fatigue, difficulty breathing, high fever with chills, and low blood pressure.
Through examination, the male soldier was diagnosed by medical staff with a severe systemic infection, initially treated with antibiotics, fluid replacement, fever reduction, and immediately conducted a Telemedicine consultation with Military Hospital 175 .

After consultation, the patient was diagnosed with septic shock with unknown route of entry and multiple organ failure. The patient was given additional fluids, cardiovascular support drugs, antibiotics and was ordered to be transported by helicopter to the mainland for treatment.
Following orders from the Ministry of National Defense, at 9:30 p.m. on July 27, EC-225 helicopter with registration number VN-8618 took off from Tan Son Nhat airport with the Air Rescue Team of Military Hospital 175 led by Captain, Doctor Ta Van Bach, Department of Intensive Care as Team Leader.
At 0:45 on July 28, the emergency team reached the patient in Truong Sa special zone. Doctors and nurses quickly assessed and controlled the patient's respiratory and circulatory failure to ensure the transport by helicopter.
During the flight, despite the patient's serious condition with many respiratory and circulatory support devices and harsh night flight conditions, the Flight Crew and Emergency Team ensured absolute safety and brought the patient back to the mainland in time.

The flight landed safely at the helipad of the Orthopedic Institute building, Military Hospital 175 in the early morning of July 28. The patient was transferred directly to the Emergency Department for in-depth testing and consultation to determine the most appropriate treatment regimen.
At a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, the male soldier was diagnosed with septic shock from community-acquired pneumonia, with multiple organ failure, and was treated with intensive intensive care. After a period of intensive treatment, the patient was out of shock, and the functions of his organs had recovered well.
