Yamal challenges Ronaldo in UEFA Nations League final

In the early morning of June 6, Lamine Yamal scored a brace to help the Spanish team defeat the French team with a score of 5-4 in a dramatic match at MHPArena stadium in Stuttgart (Germany), entering the UEFA Nations League final against Ronaldo's Portugal.

Spain's 17-year-old Yamal was also named UEFA's man of the match, after he scored two goals and made key passes to set up his teammates against France.

Yamal scored a double in the 54th minute (from the 11m mark) and 67th minute. The remaining goals were scored by Nico Williams in the 22nd minute, Merino in the 25th minute and Pedri in the 55th minute.

On the French side, the goals were scored by Mbappe in the 59th minute from the 11m mark, Cherki in the 79th minute, Vivian's own goal in the 84th minute and Kolo Muani in the 90+3rd minute, to create an exciting score chase.

However, Mbappe and his teammates' efforts to reverse the score from 0-4 to 1-5 were unsuccessful. But to shorten the score to 4-5 until the last minutes and make the opponent afraid, was also an outstanding effort of the French team.

Spain held on to their results to reach the UEFA Nations League final against Ronaldo's Portugal. This is the third time Spain have reached the UEFA Nations League final, while Portugal are in their second. But both teams have only won the title once. The Spanish press immediately asked Yamal about this feeling. Yamal replied: "Ronaldo is a legend and we all respect him very much. But as I often say to my mother, the best thing is to do your job well on the pitch, which is to win the match."

Yamal also affirmed: "I don't pay much attention to the Ballon d'Or race, it is not the top priority. The important thing, as I said, is to talk to each other on the pitch. That is where I prove my ability.
