TPO - After a day of waiting, on the evening of August 21, the Board of Directors of Tay Mo 3 Primary School met to answer questions from parents. The school representative who met with parents was Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang, Principal of the school.
Ms. Hang told the parents: This morning, representatives of the Department of Education and Training came down to meet parents to submit their application forms. The school received the applications, collected them and sent them to the higher authorities for direction. We are also waiting for instructions from higher authorities and when we have information, we will inform all parents.
A parent representing residents in an apartment building near the school expressed her opinion that her child studies at Ly Nam De Primary School and some others have children studying at private schools, all of whom have household registration in the ward, but have not yet received any notification of enrollment even though the school has already filled its enrollment quota. Believing that the school may have recruited students outside its designated area, the parent requested that the list of students who have been recruited should be made public.

Another parent also questioned the Board of Directors of Tay Mo 3 Primary School that, during this morning's meeting with the Department of Education and Training, the department representative still distributed applications to parents while the school said it had met its enrollment quota.
“So, is the Department of Education and Training only accepting applications to appease public opinion or will it continue to enroll students? If the school continues to enroll students, how will it enroll them? What are the conditions? The information needs to be made public and transparent,” the parents requested.
In addition, many other parents also suggested that the school should set a time limit for responding to whether or not to continue enrolling students. Because before, when their children were studying at a neighboring school, they were instructed to wait until Tay Mo 3 School was operational before being transferred, so they kept waiting but until now have not received any information.
"If we stop recruiting, we need to make public the list of more than 1,100 students who were previously recruited so they know," said this parent.
Waiting for reply
In response to many questions from parents, Principal of Tay Mo 3 Primary School Nguyen Thi Hang said that she would accept all opinions and wait for instructions from superiors. “This is to provide accurate information to parents,” said Ms. Hang.
Under pressure from parents, Ms. Hang asked permission to stop the meeting to report to her superiors and will have an answer as soon as possible.
